VM_CALLERID (how to get name+number)
I'd like to get VM_CALLERID to include number in addition to name
since often when calls come from cell lines or various other,
the name is just a city, state and the number would be more
usefull. Is there a way to get the number in the VM_CALLERID
string, or is there a second variable I can use in formatting
email vmail not...

${VM_CIDNUM} shows up but ${VM_CALLERID} & ${VM_CIDNAME} don't?
Hi,
In modifying the template for voicemail emails, I can
only get ${VM_CIDNUM} to appear in an email.
Does anyone know how to get the others to appear?

Voicemail notification by email is missing CallerID info
All;
I am running Asterisk 11.6-cert16 and I have voicemail setup so
voicemail messages are sent as email attachments. That works fine. However,
the body of the email contains the CallerID(name), but is missing the
CallerID(num). For example, the email body looks like this:
Just wanted to let you know you were just left a 0:21 long message
(number 13) in mailbox 101 from WIRELESS

Voicemail variables on email subject
Hi
I have a problem w/ voicemail, the subject message is corruption when used
voicemail variables, e.g. :
voicemail.conf
emailsubject=${VM_MAILBOX}|${VM_MSGNUM}|${VM_CALLERID}|${VM_DUR}
Return:

Voicemail: search for name in a phonebook

I configured a voicemail and I receive an E-Mail with some information about
the call.
Again, wonderful!
Now my wish: I'd like to have Asterisk to search the caller in a list file
and send me the name corresponding to the number in the E-Mail of voicemail.
Is it possible?
I currently use ${VM_CALLERID} in emailbody and it gives, of course, the
phone number...

It's fixed now.
In "/etc/mail/ssmtp.conf", this ("FromLineOverride=YES") line was commented out. Removing that comment did the trick :)
Now I only need to change the e-mail's title. Is that possible?

IMAP Voicemail - can't get messages. Arrgh!

custom voicemail e-mail
Hi All,
I'm trying to use a php script to send voicemail e-mail so i can send
custom e-mail message based on what mailbox.
on my voicemail.conf i have
mailcmd=/var/www/voicemail.php
but when i tried to call an extension and goe to voicemail i'm not
receiving the e-mail.
but when i execute "php /var/www/voicemail.php" on the shell, i can
receive the e-mail.

Voicemail Pager Subject?
Hi,
I have set emailsubject in voicemail.conf as follows:
emailsubject=New Voicemail from ${VM_CALLERID} in Mailbox ${VM_MAILBOX}
This works fine, but the pager e-mails come through with "New VM". I
would like the pager e-mail to be the same subject as above as I get
this as an SMS to my mobile phone.
I thought this would be config'able but I can't find any mention of it

Rewriting the From and Subject from voicemail for a MMS Message to a Cell Phone - like visual voicemail
I would like to send Multimedia Messaging (MMS) email (gateway) to my cell
phone and have the from and subject be the callerid/calleridnam information
from the voice mail message.
I know there is a way to call another perl script or program up when an

Caller ID issue
Hi list,
I'm having a problem with CallerID names not showing up when calls come
in. I have dialplan code to store the callerid(name) away and it is
blank (null). However, the voicemail variable ${VM_CALLERID} has the
name field populated. For example, here is some of the dialplan code:
