Questions about NAT and MASQ and more
Hello,
I''m working on a Shorewall-1.2 setup on a _remote_ debian (woody)
firewall with several live web and mail servers behind it. I know doing
this remotely is a *really* bad idea, and I''d rather not be in this
situation, but so it goes... Worst case scenario, I lock myself out and
have to drive an hour to get physical access to the machine and restore
service. Anyhow,

ADD_IP_ALIASES
...orewall
adds IP addresses for NAT under the ADD_IP_ALIASES="Yes" option.
Up to now, Shorewall has added these ''aliases'' as single addresses (/32)
without subnet or broadcast address.
The current Beta ''firewall'' script adds these aliases using the same VLSM
and Broadcast address as the primary IP address for the EXTERNAL interface
uses. This change shouldn''t change anything functionally but it will
hopefully cool future fevered brows...
The beta is at http://www.shorewall.net/pub/shorewall/Beta
Please test this script to be sure that I have...

ip route command query regarding multipath
hi
I am working on IPv4 equal cost multipath with caching support
on 2.6.12 kernel. I have successfully created multipath route by command :-
/sbin/ip route add 10.200.0.0/16 scope global equalize \

But I can not specify multipath algorithm, e.g. : round robin algorithm
or random algorithm.

How to allow specific services for machines in LAN behind router?
Hi
I know I still need to learn a lot about firewalls so if I''ve missed
some doc I should have read don''t hesitate to point it out to me.
I have set up shorewall on my desktop and my laptop and everything
appears to be working fine but now I''d like to allow certain services
(like shh, rsync, unison, http) between these two PC''s.
My LAN looks like this:

[LLVMdev] LLVMTypeHandlerRef is missing?
Hi, I tried to build llvm-py (http://www.mdevan.org/llvm-py/) using LLVM
3.0.1, and I got these errors in a few places:
error: unknown type name ‘LLVMTypeHandleRef’
I did a quick search, and my guess is LLVMTypeHandleRef is not exist in
LLVM 3 anymore:
http://llvm.org/docs/doxygen/html/Core_8h_source.html
So is there any equivalent? Maybe LLVMTypeRef?
Regards,
Andre

[LLVMdev] Compiler crashed while building LLVM
I tried to build the stable LLVM 3.2, and the latest from svn.
Both failed, unfortunately.
During compilation process, I saw this:
