Is it fine to store the tdb files in the shared directory to solve the ctdb data synchronization problem?
Hi folks
I face a problem about the data synchronization when using the ctdb. When one ctdb node fails, other ctdb nodes may not recover the data of the failed node. I think it may be due to the fact that ctdb stores its tdb files in the local storage. So, is it fine to store the tdb files in the shared directory of the backend storage? When one node fails, other nodes may recover the data from

2) Real-time backing up the modification of the normal tdb to other ctdb nodes(just a simple guess, not test yet)
Do you have any other solutions or suggestions about this data synchronization problem?
Looking forward to your reply, thanks.
Best regards

Incorrect pointers arithmetic in the PRINTER_ENUM_VALUES structure when calling Samba.
I try to use Win32API EnumPrinterDataEx to get registry key's values and
data from Samba print server (of course I previously connect to the
print queue and retrieve keys by EnumPrinterKey).
During the function execution (EnumPrinterDataEx) I collect ethereal
trace to verify correct data is sent on wire and that Ethereal can
correctly represent that info.
Some of the keys parsed correctly

EU Linux migration document. -- German Gvt. "Migration Guide"
...Anlage303777/pdf_datei.pdf
(Yes -- despite of its strange name this *is* the English translation
of the Migration Guide. Oh, and even if the PDF is saying it was produced
from MS Windows with the help of PDFmaker -- be assured that the original
document was written with the help of OpenOffice.org. vlendec should be
able to confirm this, since he is also one of the authors... ) ;-)
Have a look at that one too, please, and spread the Gospel that it will
soon be available as a book (in German). If there is demand from other
countries, I would imagine that the English translation would also hit...

ACL problem
Hi all,
I have joined samba server (3.0.14a-2) to an ADS. I can copy, move and
remove files from any windows workstation and also I can set ACLs. I
need migrate files from 4 w2k servers to samba server and preserve
ACL's. One server are into ADS domain, but the others server are into
others domains. I use robocopy.exe to migrate files and folders. When I
run robocopy the files and folders are

Illegal instruction: 4 (core dumped) when running testparm & [sn]mbd with default config
I'm running FreeBSD 8 on a Sheevaplug (ARM5 processor)
I compiled and installed Samba 3.3.9 from ports using defaults and defaults
for dependencies.
I left the smb.conf file untouched, ran testparm and immediately received
the coredump.
The same happens running smbd and nmbd.
Can anyone help me resolve?

Problem with Share Size
Hi all,
I have a problem with samba : I can create files, but can't create directories.
The server has many shares, on seperated disks.
We consider two of them : one 2Tb share and one share with more than 7Tb.
Samba configuration is good, and works on many other servers, and on this one except for the large share. Permissions are correctly setted up too.
I can read/write files and
