problem with multiple masking
Hi all,
after a half day searching for an error, sniffing and upgrading to the
newest shorewall version I give up and the problem to you. I have
following configuration in my /etc/shorewall/masq:
#INTERFACE SOURCE ADDRESS
vlan7::10.231.0.0/16 192.168.222.0/24 10.231.113.30
vlan7 192.168.222.0/24 10.1.0.38
Towards a special network I need a masking of all outgoing traffic to
10.231.113.30, in all other cases I use the basic address of the
interface for masking. What happens?...

Centos 6 and VLAN-ID7 for vDSL (Telekom)
AHOI!
I've big trouble by setting up CentOS 6.3 for my new vDSL.
As I've found out, the German Telekom is using VLAN7 for her
internet-(data) connections. => http://workaround.org/blog/vdsl
O.K. what I've done:
The NIC where's my DSL-modem is connectet is eth0.
cat /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0
# device for vDSL-modem
DEVICE=eth0
HWADDR=00:30:1B:14:08:67

HOTPLUG=no

The network config on the machine currently looks like this: it has nothing
assigned to eth0, eth0.48 = 192.168.48.100/24, eth0.49 = 192.168.49.100/24,
eth0.50 = 192.168.50.100/24.
And - even though the ARP table seems to be OK - there is no connectivity!

Because a trunk port will "trunk" the vlan.
A VLAN is basically a 4 byte "tag" that gets injected into the packet
header when the packet enters the VLAN network. When we trunk a VLAN we say
to the switch "pass packets on VLAN x but
