FWIW, I''m doing this on my WRT54G V3 router running OpenWRT WhiteRussian

I don''t want to put all traffic on high-ports (>1024) into Bulk since I have
a bunch of stuff running on high-ports outside that I access. I just want

Sure.
It's the only IP vlan1 has inside the jail; it's shown as an alias on
the base host.

You mean change "interfaces=vlan1 10.1.2.34/24" to just "interfaces=vlan1"?
It doesn't change anything (still Samba does...

After a web search I found the solution is to add:

Is this problem expected? Or a regression?
Will this workaround have any side-effect?

Forwarding between untagged vlans
I''m trying to implement simple untagged vlans on our switch and have
misconfigured something..
ISP gw is on the default vlan1 (untagged)
Router
eth1 is setup on the switch with default vlan1 and member of vlan4.
eth0 is default vlan4 which connects to the clients that are all
default members of vlan4
eth0 is x.x.x.86/28 This is what clients are connecting to as their gw..
(no nat)
eth1 is x.x.x.82/26

[Bridge] Bridge is not bridging.
I have read several articles for setting up a network bridge.
My configuration is:

I am running CentOS 4.3 on the bridge

I am trying to get this working on my openwrt box (whiterussian rc6),
but when testing it on my Debian etch box for comparison, I see the same
behavior.
I''m hoping someone can point out what I''m doing wrong with the filters...
FYI: "vlan1" is the outbound interface of my wrt54g.
Script follows:

VLAN issue
OK, thanks again for all your help.
I have resolved this, finally. The problem was that I configured VLAN 48 as
the native VLAN on the trunk port. That was a mistake as apparently the
native VLAN is the one where Cisco does not bother to tag packets.
For now I set the native VLAN to VLAN 1 and that works.
Cheers,
Boris.

Prioritizing VOIP traffic without sacrificing throughput
Hi,
I would like to prioritize VOIP traffic when we use the phone, but other
times not do traffic shaping at all.
Right now I have my openwrt router set up with htb to do shaping. In
order to get it to work well I had to set my upload and download speeds
much lower than my line speed. With these settings, I get good VOIP
reception even while surfing the net and doing a long download.
However,

I couldn''t find anyone who had actually made it work via google so I
guess I''ll ask here.
My setup is a VPN point to point link. The VPN is a modified version of
Openvpn where I''m using zlib compression to improve the compression a
bit.
The goal is to shape traffic coming from a routing server through the
vpn to the endpoint of the vpn and in such a way maximize the

Can I pass 802.1q (VLAN tagged) through a VPN Tinc in HUB/Switch mode?.
Hello to everybody,
Sorry if my english isn?t very good.
I need pass 802.1q through a VPN between two offices.
I have mounted a WRT54GL, with OpenWRT firmware, conected to a switch trunk
port in both offices.
In the switch of the first office I have created five tagged VLANs and I
need pass these VLAN to the second offices where it has created it too.
Can I do this with Tinc in HUB/Switch

new doubts about bridge qdisc
Ok , let`s go again with shaping a bridge interface.
The environment is a dd-wrt firmware router.
I have vlan1 interface connected to the DSL modem , and a br0
interface connecting wired and wireless machines.
lets begin with the doubts , I have [example]:
tc qdisc add dev br0 root handle 1: htb default 999
tc class add dev br0 parent 1: classid 1:999 htb rate 16kbit ceil 16kbit
well , all traffic comi...

shorewall vrf support
...bles. The biggest problem seems to be, that I cannot add
interfaces such as vlan interfaces to the routing table.
My target is that linux takes attention of on which vlan interface traffic
is arriving so that kernel can decide which routing table it has to use.
For example if traffic arrives on vlan1 use table 1, vlan2 table 2 and so
on.
I am using such environments a thousands on Cisco and Juniper but I am for
sure that linux or shorewall must have a solution, too.
Do you have any idea how to cover that with shorewall and linux kernel
itself?
I know that there is linux-vrf and the latest...
