Dialplan matching
...11.,7,Wait(1)
exten => _011.,8,Playback(please-hang-up-and-dial-operator)
exten => _011.,9,Hangup
Is this correct or should it be:
exten => _011870X,1,Goto(intl-disabled,s,1)
exten => _01137455X,2,Goto(intl-disabled,s,1)
I tried searching for definitive information on voip-wiki, nerd vittles, but
there is a lot of confusion.

Openline4 and asterisk@home
...erisk@home.
Apparently I'm supposed to use /vpb/1 type commands, but I'm not sure
how it should work.
I'm relatively new to asterisk, I did a bunch of stuff with Bayonne a
few years ago.
I was successful using asterisk@home to setup a sip based setup thanks
to the tutorial at nerd vittles.
Anyway, can somebody give me the high level concept and a few examples
of how to get my openline4 card rocking with asterisk@home?
Thanks,
Chuck

the age old telephone tree... why re-invent the wheel?
I have an interesting task for my son's lacrosse team... it is the
time-old telephone tree...
I am pretty sure someone has already done this w/*, why re-invent the
wheel?...
a) coach calls in leaves a msg, others call in retrieve the msg
b) coach calls in leaves a msg, kicks of a call to every parent plays msg
c) coach calls in leaves a msg, kicks off a call to every parent, checks

Vote on whether SipPhone should support ISN routing.
Should SipPhone support ISN routing for their 747 ITAD? Cast a vote:
http://forums.gizmo5.com/viewtopic.php?t=10197
Meanwhile if you're interested, you can use the Nerd Vittles 'bandit' ITAD
#1089 to call a SipPhone/Gizmo5 subscriber via ISN, which I think is clever
(Karl tips his hat to Ward Mundy) and it's also really, really funny.

Dual Atom mobo - call capacity
I'm looking for a small formfactor mobo for an install that needs to handle 25 phone sets (no transcoding). I found a new dual atom 1.66GHz mobo - anyone know what kinds of call volume that will handle?

Outband call from php script
Hello,
I am trying to make the following... Can someone tell me if it is
possible? Is someone willing to do it from an asterisk@home box?
1. I send an http request to asterisk@home box.
Ex: http://asterisk@home/call.php?phone=0033102030405&code=12345
2. Application will call phone number 0033102030405 (using a sip provider)
3. Application will play a pre-recorded voice prompt
4. Application

Asterisk as a phone survey system
Hi,
I'm interested in developing an automated phone survey and am curious
if Asterisk could be configured to run such a system.. My idea is to
record a message and a series of sub-questions. The system would
call each number on a list and play the message, Depending on the
touch tone response another message would be played. Is it possible
for asterisk to manage a survey like this?

Is this all you want Asterisk to do? (eg as an application service
rather than provide telephony for the rest of the library as well), or
are you looking to have it replace your existing telephony equipment?

As a suggestion if you google Trixbox and Nerd Vittles you will find a
fairly detailed explanation of how to set your Trixbox server (a version
of Asterisk) up to provide exactly what you are after. If this is too
complicated for you never fear, just post an email of your requirements
and ask for someone/body to 'build' you a version of Asteris...

Convert Asterisk Appliance (AA50) to "Open" Asterisk?
Hi All,
Thanks for all of the help I've been given in the past and info I've picked up from this list over the years.
I have an "official" Asterisk appliance (the AA50) running my PBX at home (we previously also had an AA50 in a satellite office-that one was recently retired and replaced with Asterisk running on commodity server hardware).
Anyway - the AA50

Alec Saunders post about Mashable Telco's
Interesting read in Alec Saunders blog today.
http://saunderslog.com/2007/03/01/mashable-telcos/
Thought it may interest some people on this list.
As food for thought, why it is that ITSP's haven't come up with more
'interesting' voice applications? When asterisk first became available I
thought it was the beginning of seeing really neat applications, think
