[LLVMdev] Info on LLVM 2.3 which is available as a virutal appliance
Hi! I'm glad that their is interest in the VMware install of LLVM 2.3. The appliance(compressed via 7zip) is over 800 MB in size. So, I can't send it out via email. I don't have the resources to host it. If someone can find an area that this appliance can live, I'd be willing to upload it os that everyone could use it. regards, Bernardo -------------- next part --------------

Re: libguestfs support snapshot based virutal disk analysis?
(Sorry, Rich, I managed to miss reply-all.) These VMDK files are difference files from a baseline VMDK file. I'm not familiar with ESX's storage, but the size indicators on these tell me they aren't raw. For a virtual disk that has 3.2GB of data in its current state, against 3.0GB of data in its baseline, the current state's .vmdk file is 200MB. --Alex On Mon, Jun 10, 2013 at

libguestfs support snapshot based virutal disk analysis?
Hi dear all: I have browsed almost all architecture of libGuestFs and use it on Fedora 18. It really seems greate! However, 1. No virtual disk (*.vdi, *.vmdk...) based snashot analysis code Current LibGuestFs could recognize and virtual disk format (e.g. *.VDI) and the file syste inside it (e.g. NTFS ), but find no support for snapshot virtual disk. Re: libguestfs support snapshot based virutal disk analysis?
I've used QEMU to read .vmdk snapshots. The VM directory layout in my case (Fusion, and I've seen Workstation do the same) created a .vmdk file per snapshot, and qemu-img could use that .vmdk file and the base .vmdk to convert the disk image to a raw image. IIRC there is a manifest file that ties .vmdk files to the snapshot they represent. So, from my experience, qemu does read disk

Supporting local and virtual LDAP users, with seperate mail_env
Is it possible to have local users with mail in maildir:%h/.maildir and virutal users with mail in maildir:/home/exim/%u/.maildir I seem to have authentication working for both local users and LDAP users. But I'm getting this error trying to access a virtual users mail. Aug 17 08:12:08 hostname dovecot: IMAP(Firstname Lastname): maildir: data=/HOME_DIRECTORY_USED_BUT_N...

[LLVMdev] Name of Virtual Registers
How can I get the name of the virtual Registers present on an instruction. eg. %add18 = add nsw i32 %mul17, %37 in this case I want to extract the name of the virutal registers as "add18", "mul17","37". This can easily be done in the case of store Instruction eg. store i32 %add20, i32* %t, align 4 in this case functions like instr->getOperand(0)->getName() and instr->getOperand(1)->getName() will fetch me "add20...

Dovecot, postifx, virtual domains and deliver, what about luser_relay/fallback_relay?
...ing postfix/dovecot and using virtual domains, delivery happens with dovecot's LDA. I also have an Exchange machine that I have to house some of the users of a given domain. How can I tell either postifx in general or dovecot's LDA that whatever specific user that cannot be found in the virutal setup can be pawned off to a given relay-server which will sort it out? -A

[ANNOUNCE] Lguest64 - fatter puppies!
...nnouncement of Lguest64. Most are aware of the little puppies (lguest32, or simply lguest, or in some circles "rustyvisor"). But this time the puppies ate a bit too much. No more lean and mean puppies, now we got big fat lazy ones. Running on the hardware that's too lazy to do full virutalization. Yes, lguest now runs on x86_64! As you know, puppies are young, and so is lguest64. And like most new born puppies, lguest64 might crap on your floor. Setting Virtual Memory For Wine Apps
...hlight= In short, I couldn't run Manga Studio with Wine in a Live Session (Live DVD), unless I signed in as superuser, which then pops up a virtual memory control allwoing me to set memory and launch Manga Studio fine. This control doesn't pop up when in non-su mode, and nor do I get the virutal mem warning (see other thread for non-su terminal output) How can I do this for a non-super user mode? I coudn't find the settings in Wine to do this. Or, is it possible there is more to it than virtual memory when running as non-super user? Is this a bug that should be reported?

vsftpd virtual users not able to delete the files (second time post)
hey friends, I am using vsftpd version 2.0.1 on Centos4.0. I am trying to create some virtual users who can upload, download and delete the files in their particular directories. I followed the below link to create the virutal users http://linuxsir.zahui.net/html/23/43449.htm I have created a user called "tester" and the entries in the tester file (/etc/vsftpd/vsftpd_user_conf/tester) are anon_world_readable_only=NO user_sub_token=$USER local_root=/var/www/html/testing write_enable=YES anon_upload_enable=YES...
