can I use CentOS as a antivirus / spam filter / HTTP AV gateway?
...w.netdefend.eu/Product.aspx?m=15&ref=DFL-860 It provides AV, SPI, VPN, DOS, P2P, etc protection. Most of this can be done with Linux as well, but I'm not 100% sure about the AV part. How will I use / setup CentOS to check all traffic coming in & out (HTTP, SMTP, POP3, IMAP, etc) for virusses and clean them? We host both Windows & Linux servers, and I'm not too worried about the Linux servers, but Windows needs a lot of extra protection. -- Kind Regards Rudi Ahlers CEO, SoftDux Web: http://www.SoftDux.com Check out my technical blog, http://blog.softdux.com for Linux o...

Mail account brute force / harassment
...nstance you have some one trying to constantly access an account Has any of you made something creative like this: * configure that account to allow to login with any password * link that account to something like /dev/zero that generates infinite amount of messages (maybe send an archive of virusses?) * transferring TB's of data to this harassing client. I think it would be interesting to be able to do such a thing.

Catch all for dovecot authentication?
Hi I'm aware that there are several good reasons not to do what I want, but in my use-case it would be an interesting feature. So please no discussions about the reasonableness I have some spamtrap SMTP servers (postfix). Currently SMTP AUTH is disabled. But as I daily have thousands of AUTH tries I thought it would be nice to be able to accept any AUTH request from postfix in dovecot. Is

how to make user iteration work (with active directory ldap)
We received no replies to this email that we sent a few days ago. We're not sure why. If we miss something that is obvious to everybody, kindly point it out. We ?ould like to get iteration working, to be able to mass-delete specific emails from all mailboxes, in case of for example received virusses... Here is my question again: Hi, User iteration doesn't work, we're getting: > auth: Error: Trying to iterate users, but userdbs don't support it The way I understand it, I need to set iterate_attrs and iterate_filter for iteration to work. I have set it (see configs below) a...

Catch all for dovecot authentication?
...to combine log files for this, but it should be do-able. But I am also for this option, maybe it can be done via this userdb, specify an account where auth is not necessary. I would like to redirect sometimes a user to a 5GB garbage messages mailbox. Or if someone has collection of emails with virusses, available to download? -----Original Message----- From: Tobi via dovecot [mailto:dovecot at dovecot.org] Sent: donderdag 23 mei 2019 9:12 To: dovecot at dovecot.org Subject: Catch all for dovecot authentication? Regarding Wine and Viruses
I understand the Wine can get viruses and could potentially infect your system. My question is if all I am using Wine for is Gaming and Microsoft Office, could I still get a virus? I mean if I load up FireFox (which is installed by default on Ubuntu) and go to a web site that has a virus, would I automatically become infected or the only way to get a virus is to load up FireFox (the windows

Virus Alert
An attachment called (WORM_SOBIG.C) in an email that appears to have been sent from your email address to (arrowcomp at xtra.co.nz) contained the virus (WORM_SOBIG.C), which has been deleted. If you do not believe you were the actual sender, the Klez virus is likely to be the culprit. The Klez virus works by forging the 'From' address inside the virus infected email, which means you can

NSV Problems
For some reason using the 2.3.0 Version I can no longer stream Nullsoft Video. I have the correct tags in the config file but for some reason the server will not accept the connection from the encoder. I started up shoutcast DSP and it streams fine so I know it's not the encoder itself. Anyone else seeing this or can tell me how to fix it? -------------- next part -------------- An HTML
