VIRTUA TENNIS screen cutoff
Hi !
VIRTUA TENNIS works fine (very fine and better than Cedega) , except
sound (problem with initialising DirectXAudio. Error code : 0x88780078)
and the game screen don't fit the desktop or fullscreen resolution: his
parent window seems not be able to re-size itself.

migration with PostgreSQL - function nextval does not exist
This might be a problem with postgresql, but I''m not sure. In a
migration I have renamed a table so I wanted to rename a sequencer as
well. It looks like:
execute "ALTER TABLE global_vacations_id_seq RENAME TO vacations_id_seq;"
execute "ALTER TABLE vacations ALTER COLUMN id SET DEFAULT
nextval(''vacations_id_seq''::regclass);"
But the process of

E100P setup in Switzerland
Hi all,
I am trying to setup an E100P for use on Swisscom E1-PRI here in
Switzerland.
Swisscom seems to use Siemens hardware.
Here are my configs (cvs from a few hours ago) :
zaptel.conf
loadzone=fr ; tried "de" but got warning at modprobe
defaultzone=fr
span=1,1,0,cas,hdb3,crc4,yellow ; Seems to be right, as the Siemens
SDSL-G703 modem switches its LEDs off ... not sure

Success story
Hi all,
Just a little note for the records and archives. We see many small
glitches / troubles in the mailing-list but rarely success stories ...
Here's one :
Asterisk is running perfectly fine in our setup :
Debian 3.0 stable / Athlon 1.8, 256 MB Ram / Digium E-100P / Swisscom
PRI isdn
We have 6 companies (more to come) sharing the system in the building

Cisco 7940/7960 XML application hint
I don't know if this is already common knowledge, and it's not specificly
for Asterisk, but if you are using Cisco phones and want to roll XML
applications, make sure you have "Connection: close" in your HTTP header.
Without it screen loads are very sluggish. In PHP, do:
header("Connection: close");
I whipped up quick-and-dirty PHP/MySQL/Cisco XML directory and

Fax
Hi all !
Let's say you have about 6 small different companies sharing the same E1
/ Asterisk server, and every company needs its own fax number. Since
they don't really need fax machines, what would be the most
cost-effective way to handle this (keeping fax-privacy at its best) ?
Is there a way to configure Hylafax or sth & one modem behind an ATA-186
to email faxes to different

"humanizing" model attributes presentation
Given a field in database defined as "discount_rate numeric(3,1)" I
found it not very usable for presenting it directly. For example, if
there''s a value 5.00 it will render in
<%= text_field ''model'', ''discount_rate %>
as "0.5E1" which is not very friendly to user. All I do is that I write
kind of proxy accessors (prefixing with
