ggplot2::qplot() -- arbitary transformations of coordinate system?
Hi,
Does anyone know how to do a coord_trans() in which the y-axis is
tranformed into (for example) -1000/y?
Thanks,

dotplot: character size of labels
Dear R users,
using dotplot (R1.2.0, WinNT4.0), I am trying to change the character size
of the labels of the points:
> # example
> data(VADeaths)
> dotplot(VADeaths, main = "Death Rates in Virginia - 1940")
> # I'd like to have smaller character size of the labels (for age and
population groups)
> ?dotplot
> # for argument "cex", this says: "Setting cex to a value smaller than one
can be a useful way of avoiding label overlap."

Lattice equivalent of par(mfrow = )
Dear r-helpers,
Does anyone have a straightforward example of putting together three
unrelated (expect for a common y-axis) xyplot() figures in what would
be in base graphics a par(mfrow = c(1, 3)) arrangement?

Basic Vector and Matrix Operations
...1) Fill out a vector to a desired length with missing values or zeros. So,
x<-c(3,4,5)
f(x,5)
3,4,5,NA,NA
2) Find the [row,col] location of a particular value in a matrix, eg
x<-matrix(1:9,ncol=3)
f(x,2)
2,1
Thanks.

Conditionally swap items in a data frame
...rame(a = LETTERS[1:2], b = LETTERS[3:4], c = 1:2)
I am looking for an idiom that swaps the elements of df$a and df$b
when (e.g.) df$c == 2, resulting in
df2 <- data.frame(a = LETTERS[c(1, 4)], b = LETTERS[c(3, 2)], c = 1:2)

String result = new JDataFrameBuilder()
.addColumn("Code", new Object[] {"WV", "VA", })

and in R script we would need to do this:
temp <- RJSONIO::fromJSON(json)
tempDF <- as.data.frame(temp)
