I just installed Samba for the first time. Installed and setup like a dream. Unfortunately, I can't login to save my life. The server appears in the Net. I have the following setup in my smb.conf to access automounted partitions. It works for all cases except where there is a capitalized letter in the case: default service = default preserve case = yes short preserve case = yes default case = lower case sensitive = yes # /auto disks [default] comment = automount partition path = /auto/%S

I'm running a Win 2000 OS and I'd like to load Samba on it to access files on a Linux (red hat 7.2) system. I can't quite figure out which files to download (binaries). I gather the red hat os should support Samba as is (i.e. no downloads required). Help. Thanks tlittle000@sympatico.ca
