iraq statistics - OT
I came across this one: http://www.nysun.com/article/32787 which says that the violent death rate in Iraq (which presumably includes violent deaths from the war) is lower than the violent death rate in major American cities. Does anyone have any insights from statistics on how to interpret this?

OT: systemd Poll
According to "Arthur Schopenhauer": "All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident." I must admit that I skipped through the first and second stages - I never found creating init scripts a joy and instead opted to write my own scripts that I launched via inittab. As such, I welcomed the simplicity systemd's...

Error in check(itp) : ‘object’ does not represent a K sample problem with censored data
Hello, I have two questions regarding a survival analysis I have been working on. Below is the code to date. The variables: 1) recidivism$intDaysUntilFVPO are the number of days before an violent offence was committed - if no offence was committed than the days between court hearing and end of data collection was recorded. 2) recidivism$intDaysUntilFNVPO are the number of days before a nonviolent offence was committed - if no offence was committed than the days between court hearing and...

How to get a server listed in the IMAP Test wiki?
...ay alive. Another cop trying to arrest me without a warrant as I hopped a plane took a flight away from the city hall lynch mob. And the corrupt corporate-paid cops who previously stole my car, cell phone, digital camera, photos and laptop in another state, too. And that's only the latest such violent attack. In real life. People plannimg crimes and getting away with crimes in real life. Bragging about it online is always what what gets them caught in the end. And so far the thieves and robbers and assailants are apparently not being prosecuted at all for the violent crimes they are committing...

xm shutdown timeout
xend has a timeout such that if an ''xm shutdown'' request does not result in the domain shutting down within a certain time period, the domain is violently destroyed. This seems like a strange choice - if the domain isn''t responding properly to such requests, then it must be in a buggy state, and should surely be preserved for administrator action (dumping core, destroying, whatever). Is there any other purpose to this timeout? thanks jo...

By going System -> Log Off -> Reboot. The NX Client's Window automatically closed (in quite a violent way with error msg). Then the server reboot. After the reboot, I try to reconnect to Server again using NX. [samba4] DNS updates
...d I think because some others users can created to do the same, to be able to find them could nice in a securisation point of view. - how to recreate the keytab of such user without samba_upgradedns: this user can be deleted accidentaly, being able to recreate it without samba_dnsupgrade seems less violent so less risky than switching dns-backend... - how frequent are DNS updates? Is it every X minutes ? After each Site modification + at every samba start? As you see I completely lost into Samba DNS and help would be welcomed. Cheers, mathias

[LLVMdev] Validating LLVM

I'm not trying to push random testing on people who don't want it, but I think it is useful to the LLVM project and it's not clear that I have the resources to keep doing it myself indefinitely. I absolutely see great value in random test generation. I would support some regular random testing and incorporating tests that trigger failures into the static LLVM testsuite. This should be done on a regular basis. -...
