pfSense HVM
Hi Everyone,
Does anybody have any experience using pfSense on Xen? I would most
probably have to use HVM...
My idea would be to use PCI-Passthrough to the pfsense DomU, and only
make the Dom0 accessable via the pfsense firewall
Thanks
Jonathan

Syslinux/Extlinux chain : Unexpected change of Extlinux configuration folder after reboot
...the following reboots finally use the wanted linux image.
How to prevent unwanted change in partition bootsector between reboot ?
Does syslinux/extlinux bootloader overwrite these values during boot ?
Is there a bootsector recovery mecanism which restore an old bootsector ?
Best regards,

The following is a question, but I think it could be read as a
suggestion too.
Instead of using the extlinux command to install a different boot
sector each time, is there any reason not to use the CONFIG directive?
The CONFIG directive can load a new configuration fil...

libvirt 0.8.1
Hi Everyone,
I''m running my Dom0 on Ubuntu 10.04. My Xen install is working ok - Xend
is listening on port 8000 and xm list shows the running VMs. I wanted to
upgrade my version of libvirt so I could get the latest virt-manager
working with Xen 4.0. I used the Ubuntu packages linked on this page:

xen upgrade problem, cant boot from 3.4.2 to 4.0.0
Hi Guys!
I have a very interesting problem.
I run gentoo and have been running xen-3.4.2 on 2 server computers
(Supermicro-based, IBM).
A little time ago, I have tried to upgrade xen-3.4.2 to xen-4.0.0 (with
emerge) on the Supermicro server, but the computer wasn''t able to boot with
the following breakdown:

xen host freezes in bridged mode with large broadcasts
hi there,
following scenario:
I use XEN 4.0.1, with a bridged networking setup and usb passthrough.
That worked fine so far with 2.6.34-xen-r3 in smaller networks with less
traffic and broadcast (at home or at university e.g.).
However, if I connect to a larger network, there is not much time after
connecting to the network and my host freezes completely.
Information about the network:
