I'm currently using r scripts in sweave to grab some data via ODBC, process it then generate some tables. I'd like to be able to give someone the files and let them reproduce what I've done. Is there some way to store the data that is gathered by ODBC so that the second person can recreate the work without the database (apart from just writing it to a file or into the document)

...e to create a View on the UNIX server, region synchronize on the Win Client side and mount a VOB. However when we try to create a new file we get a window stating "Access Denied." If we try to check out an existing file we get an "Error checking out {filename}. Unable to update view {viewname}: Permission Denied. Unable to check out {filename}." We are able to complete all these steps within the UNIX environment, we are only having problems from the Windows environment and so we are assuming it has to do with our Samba configuration. We already know groups, permissions are okay....

FYI:, I'm fairly new to samba (a couple of months now), and have experimented - unsuccessfully - with getting it to work with clearcase. Does anyone have a how-to, or a list of gotcha's for setting up clearcase with samba? Thanks in advance for any information you can send me. Ozzie,
