Hi there I'm a videographer and I'm thinking of switching my old mac for a linux or BSD machine? I'm wondering if Wine will move to 64 bits soon so I could take full advantage of the Adobe CS4 Suite, especially After Effects and Photoshop. Thank you!

Hi all. I'm having problems trying to suspend/hibernate my Dell Latitude D810 Laptop. Basically I have an ATI X600 videographics and SATA harddrive and run httpd and mysqld daemons on it. I use fglrx (ATI propietary drivers) and the open too with no success. I tried with 1 and 2 screens configurations with no success. I tried with CA and/or with battery with no success. In the discussion of having a freedom-friendly camcorder or other video device, we discussed the idea of using intra-only Theora video to make post-recording editing a much easier process, allowing things like frame-by-frame editing without the need to decode and reencode the video again, thus incurring loss.
