This can be limited via the fileid:algorithm setting fsname_norootdir (see https://www.samba.org/samba/docs/current/man-html/vfs_fileid.8.html). However, before using this option you need to remember that its goal is to break lock coherency in the root of a share, so it has to be used very carefully.
