No audio on ISDN PRI calls
...on the CLI and then silence follows.
I've been provisioned 25 out of the 31 channels only at the moment and
I'm using a "dummy" number given by BT for testing.
The is no alarms on the line, nor errors on the CLI or in the
/va/log/messages or wanrouter.
Any ideas?
Thank you much.

Minimum hardware requirements for 10 concurrent calls?
Hello,
I'm considering an Asterisk box for up to 10-15 concurrent calls.
Incoming PSTN/ISDN/IAX2, outgoing PSTN/ISDN/IAX2.
Could someone roughly suggest the minimal hardware requirements for this kind of
setup?
Trying to come up with the cheapest solution.
Thank you.

CONSOLE logging
Hello,
I'm trying to enable CONSOLE logging in Asterisk 1.4.14 on a 2.6.18
Debian Lenny server.
It is enabled in logger.conf, however no log file is created in
/var/log/asterisk/
Also I was wondering if I manage to get it working and use logrotate
daemon as well, is logrotate going to restart the asterisk process each
time in order to rotate the log file?
Thank you.

Caching Asterisk SIP useragent info?
...in case
the server is restarted, the user need not wait for their phone to
re-register?
Also I believe that it is sufficient for the user to just pickup their
handset in order to force their phone to re-register quicker.
However I'd like to avoid asking the users to do that.
Thank you much.

Asterisk on a MiniITX board+Atom1.6 2gb+Sangoma USB?
...ination, mini-itx board with Atom
dual core 1.6ghz 2G ram and a sangoma USB?
For a setup with PSTN for incoming and IAX2(alaw/gsm) for outgoing calls.
- Would you say its a good choice from a hardware perspective?
- Roughly how many concurrent calls would one of these be able to handle?

Outgoing PSTN calls , unusable voice quality
...understand what I am saying, my voice is unclear
fading and skipping.
Internal SIP and IAX2 calls are OK, incoming/outgoing calls over IAX2
are OK too. I've tried gsm/ulaw/alaw codecs so far.
Tried disabling the echo cancelling as well.
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

*** buffer overflow detected *** accessing invalid FD in libguestfs
...6_64-linux-gnu/libc.so.6
(gdb) quit
Deeper analysis shows the error is related to file descriptors handling
using FD_* macros in loop() function, most probably trying to access fd
which is outside the valid range.
Any hints how to avoid or handle this situation would be highly appreciated.

Asterisk 1.6 Overlap dialling timeout?
...s soon as it matches an
extension without waiting to see if the user is going to type in more
digits.
Is there a way to set a timeout per channel or globally?
I'd like Asterisk to wait for a few seconds once its found a match in
case the user needs to key in more digits.
Thank You.

Headsup on feature removal - password
> Password schemes: HMAC-MD5, RPA, SKEY, PLAIN-MD4, LANMAN, NTLM, SMD5
The web is flooded with plain text passwords and hashed passwords harvested from hacked servers.
Dovecot stores passwords with the same scheme used for client authentication.
Therefore, we use crammd5/hmac-md5. It does not look like much, but is better than plaintext.
As md5 is about to go, and I have no intention to
