upgrading an R installation to next versoin
When I install a new version of R (Windows XP) I have to:
1. copy my rw....\etc\Rprofile.site file to the new installation
2. copy the rw....\share\texmf files to the tex subfolder of the
miktex root directory and then refresh the miktex name database
(I have a batch file that does this for me which I run
whenever I install a new version of R.)
3. setup the shortcut key using

Samba version upgrade!
...built them by hand, *on that

library that needs an upgrade or that isn't available for your
distribution. The current example of this is "gnutls", which which is
needed for full domain controller support and requres a versoin more
recent than that on any default RHEL or CentOS system.

Missing code depending on a #ifdef within the .ll file
Hi all,
I have managed to compile libpng using wllvm and obtain the IR of pngpixel
( small tool which is part of libpng ).
libpng has a function called png_check_IHDR:
void /* PRIVATE */
png_check_IHDR(png_const_structrp png_ptr,
png_uint_32 width, png_uint_32 height, int bit_depth,
int color_type, int interlace_type, int compression_type,
int filter_type)

int error = 0;

Reminder: CentOS 6 EOL on 30 November 2020
...to
vault.centos.org
Packages will still be available at:
http://vault.centos.org/centos/6.10/
However, once moved, there will be no more updates pushed to
vault.centos.org.? Therefore, security issues will no longer be fixed,
etc.?
You should take the rest of the month to either move to a newer versoin
of CentOS Linux ... or to procure Extended el6 support from Red Hat (EUS
RHEL 6).
Thanks,

for example, do autoSoftCommit every second and autoCommit every minute:

Also this wiki page should be updated with warning about old versoins

I suggest to allow completely disable Solr commits in Dovecot by

Hi,
we currently work on a fresh setup coming from 2.2.13 going to 2.3.2.1

Customizing Cluster Analysis plots created with hclust
I am trying to cluster stock prices through time using hclust. To help with the interpretation of the output I would like to change the colour of the lines and the labels based on which sector a stock is in.
Is it possible to customize a plot of the output of hclust in this way?
Any help much appreciated

Zap timing device
...o the cli I see lots of
"event scheduled in the past" warnings.
I am using a fairly high speced machine (Athlon 64 3Ghz with 1GB RAM
...) so I can't imagine the system is being starved of CPU resource
(Top shows the CPU idle rarely fallng below 90%)
Currently I am not running stable versoin, rather a farely old cvs
version (these are production units so hard to upgrade without a lot
of effort), I do plan to upgrade to stable version as soon as
possible, however would like some advice as to the best way to improve
things and eliminate the choppyness and the warnings.
Thanks

performance issue with overwritten files
Hi Guys,
I have experienced a recent performance issue with an ext2 filesystem.
Essentially I have had several files that get overwritten on average
once per day.
This has been happening for about a hear when the program accessing and
reading those files started from several milliseconds to 15-20 seconds
to open and read the file.
Moving the directory to a new name and copying the contents
