Centos 7: UPD packet checksum verification?
...to get recalculated correctly but like randomly without intent? Only when asterisk (i. e. libsrtp) finally verifies the authentication tag of an SRTP package against the authenticated part of the package --- which, according to RFC 3711, seems to be the entire payload of the UPD package --- the verfication fails. How is that possible?

Problems joining workstation with samba3
...I am trying to set up a samba server with samba3-final (I've got a PDC with samba-2.2.8 + ldap and it works great, now I would like to migrate). I can't join machines to the domain: # net rpc testjoin [2003/09/29 02:46:45, 0] utils/net_rpc_join.c:net_rpc_join_ok(73) Error in domain join verfication Join to domain 'HOME' is not valid My global section in smb.conf file is: # smb.conf [global] ldap server = laptop.home ldap suffix = ou=Users,dc=laptop,dc=home ldap admin dn = cn=manager,dc=laptop,dc=home ldap ssl = off ldap delete dn = yes ldap group suffix...

hackish error handling
...request can send back an error code. In all three cases I want to send the user back to the form they came from and display either the active record errors or the XML error messages. You can see my two "hackish" approaches to catching the errors with the XML errors with an if else in the verfication and a rescue at the bottom to catch times when the success values i expect are not present. But trying to add in the ActiveRecord validation at the top (go.save) causes the error to fall straight down to the rescue clause even when i try to intercept it with if else clauses, etc. Using redire...

Stopping dummy ups from broadcasting messages

See also chapter 6.3 "Configuration file upsmon.conf for workstation with heartbeat" in https://rogerprice.org/NUT/ConfigExamples.A5.pdf Roger

Centos 7: UPD packet checksum verification?
Hi, what does Centos 7 do with UPD packets having invalid checksums? Are such packets inevitably dropped? Does a network card drop them when it does checksum verification in hardware even before the packets go anywhere? In general, if someone were to send me UPD packets with invalid checksums over the internet, how far would such packets get? In particular, how likely it is that SRTP

OpenSSH Certkey (PKI)
...The CA gains the power to grant +individual users access to the server, and users do no longer need to maintain +authorized_keys files of their own. + +Functionally, the CA assumes responsibility and control over users' known_hosts +and authorized_keys files. + +Certkey does not involve online verfication, the CA is not contacted by either +client or server. Instead, the CA generates certificates which are (once) +distributed to hosts and users. Any subsequent logins take place without the +involvment of the CA, based solely on the certificates provided between client +and server. + +For exampl...
