summing "transfers"
I have a dataframe from an On-Board Survey with weights ("expwgt") and variables for up to 8 used lines: VEH1 through VEH8. The lines are labeled "MT-..1" through "MT-902". I want to know how many transfers there are between MT-802 and MT-901. That is, when one of them is VEHx and the other is VEHx+1 or VEHx-1 E.g. {VEH1 = MT-802 AND VEH2 = MT-901 } plus {VEH2 = MT-901 AND VEH3 = MT-...

Windows: How to catch C++ exceptions in runtime-compiled code?
HI all, Here in the JUCE team, we are working on porting the Projucer <https://www.juce.com/releases/projucer-juce-4> C++ live coding engine to Windows. Our main challenge now is how to catch C++ exceptions in runtime-compiled code on Windows. This doesn’t work for us and we’re quite stuck at this point. I recently had a chat about this with Chandler Carruth at C++Now. Chandler suggested

LLVM MCJIT SEH Exception handling
Hi, I apologize if I'm posting this to the wrong list; if this is the case, please let me know. For some time now, I've been trying to get SEH exception handling to work in LLVM MCJIT (x64). While reading up on LLVM 3.8, I decided to pick it up again, because a lot has changed which simplifies things greatly. As a toy project, I'm attempting to catch an exception that's thrown

server allows users as non-guest with bad password
Hi y'all, I have a little problem with Samba which I hope you can help me with. We are running Samba 2.0.4 on a Sun Enterprise 4500 with Solaris 7. Clients are mostly Win 9x and a few NT workstations (and one NT Terminal Server). I have security = server (password server is the NT Terminal Server). What happens is occasionally Samba will not let a certain user connect, saying the password

Double integration - Gauss Quadrature
Hi, I would like to solve a double integral of the form \int_0^1 \int_0^1 x*y dx dy using Gauss Quadrature. I know that I can use R's integrate function to calculate it: integrate(function(y) { sapply(y, function(y) { integrate(function(x) x*y, 0, 1)$value }) }, 0, 1) but I would like to use Gauss Quadrature to do it. I have written the following code (using R's statmod package)
