vegan metaMDS question
The design decision in metaMDS says that it uses:

techniques for ecological ordinations. Vegetatio 71, 145-156.
This is the paper that I found by the same name. Is this the correct reference?

VEGAN: R functions for vegetation ecologists
A colleague has just passed me this interesting

"Vegan: R functions for vegetation ecologists"
"Vegan package is intended to help vegetation ecologists and
other community ecologists to use R. It is not a completely
self-contained package, but it complements other R functions.

Perform mantel test on subset of distance matrix
I'm trying to perform a mantel test that ignores specific pairs in my
distance matrices. The reasoning is that some geographic distances
below a certain threshold suffer from spatial autocorrelation, or
perhaps ecological relationships become less relevant that stochastic
processes above a certain threshold.
The problem is that I can't find a way to do it. If I replace values

canonical correspondence analysis
Is there an R function that does canonical correspondence analysis. Can
it be done using the VR function corresp()?
If not, how hard it be to write R code to do it? I am a population
biologist with long but patchy programming experience in C, Smalltalk,
Java and other languages.
