Scalability of Dovecot in the Cloud
Does anyone have any idea of how many IMAP connections a single cloud VM (4 vCores at 2.4GHz, 30GB RAM, local SSD storage - non-RAID) can be expected to handle in production. The mailboxes are fairly small (average 5MB total - 50MB max, as I don?t store attachments in Dovecot expect those saved through IMAP in the Sent/Drafts folders) and each user will probably have an average o...

Tyan s4985 motherboard and lm_sensors
Trying to get cpu temps from lm_sensors for a Tyan s4985 motherboard, just
installed centos 5.4. Tyan release some lm_sensors conf files and other
information which I have done, but I am not getting any cpu temps. I was
wondering if anyone out there was running this board and if you have gotten
temps working for your cpu, here is my output...Thanks in advance.

lmsensors sensors.conf file for gigabyte GA7N400 Pro2
Having done my fresh 5.0 install a couple months ago I'm slowly getting
things back in to working condition. Decided last night to try setting up
lmsensors.
Got it all set up (modules, etc taken care of) and it runs and reports
values, but some of 'em a clearly wrong with the default sensors.conf
Trying to use the old sensors.conf I used on Centos 4 produces even more
whacked-out results,

Network Magazine 04/04/04 Article pg 19 (Free IP Telephony PBXs?)
* Brethren,
It's a sad day in our community. Please join me in a moment of silence for
the death of responsible journalism. Silence.....................good
enough.
This article goes on to tell about Pingtel's announcement of forming the

Pitching Asterisk
The company I work for is looking at vendors for a PBX, one of the
requirements is VoIP. I have been sitting there listening to people
pitch very proprietary implementations of VoIP where you are locked in
to their hardware, their interface...
I know a little bit about asterisk (set up a couple offices with it...
run it at home...) and would like to pitch it to this company. Does
someone have a

HVM domain with write caching going on somewhere to disk
I just about have my PV block device drivers booting, except just before
the login screen appears I get a message that the registry couldn''t be
written out. I''m pretty sure that this is because some data from the
int13 interface provided by the qemu intel ide driver that has been
written, hasn''t actually made it to the block device (lvm volume in my
case).

Not enough storage space error
Now, its getting more detailed for the samba devs and more out of my scope.
But a small last question from me.
Are you moving OU's with users and are there GPO's liked to these OU's?
If yes, detach the GPO link and try moving without GPO's attached.
Still errors?
Are these users logged in or not? If still logged in, try an OU without users logged in.

Best dom0 for GPU pass through?
Hi all-
I''ve been working with XenServer for years but have decided to build a
home server running the latest version of Xen to do GPU pass through
to a Win 7 x64 Media Center. What is the best dom0 OS to install to
enable this? I''ve seen lots of people using Debian Squeeze, but I
wonder why that is being chosen rather than say Ubuntu 12.04 which has
a much newer stock kernel?

CPU temperature in an PowerEdge 860, LM85 chip
Dear Srs,
I'm trying to monitor CPU temperatures in a PowerEdge 860 server,
running CentOS 5.1 with 2.6.18-53.1.6.el5 kernel, using lm-sensors
v2.10.0.
Running "sensors-detect" I get:

virtual pbx
Is it possible to set asterisk up as a virtual pbx like in apache and
virtual host? If so can someone point me to the right direction.
I would also like to setup asterisk with some type of redundancy, I have
searched the lists and googled but havent really found anything, I would
be willing to put together a paper if I had the info and make it
available, through asterisk doc project or

libvirtd using 11GB
Hi All,
Am new to this list, and have asked in #ovirt / ovirt-users list and they
pointed me to here ... I've seen libvirtd using ~11 GB of resident memory
after the host has been running for about 60+ days with about 40 VMs
running on it.
The versions I'm currently running are :
libvirt.x86_64 0.9.10-21.el6_3.7
libvirt-client.x86_64 0.9.10-21.el6_3.7

Problem reading vitals from Gigabyte H77-DH3H
Hello everyone,
I'm unable to read temperature Gigabyte H77-DH3H motherboard. Is that
motherboard supported or am I doing it incorrectly?
When trying to access hw.acpi.thermal everything appears to be ok, but
it is not, the system always returns 27,8C and 29,8C which fooled me
initially - the values never change.
Here is output:
[chinatsu]:/root# sysctl hw.acpi.thermal

gaming on multiple OS of the same machine?
Hi,
I am new to Xen and I was wondering if the following construction would be
feasible with the current Xen.
I would like to put 2/3/4 new computers in my house, mainly for gaming.
Instead of buying 2/3/4 different computers, I was thinking of building one
computer with a 4/6/8-core CPU, 2/3/4 GPUs, 2/3/4 small SSDs, and attach
2/3/4 monitors to it, 2/3/4 keyboards and 2/3/4 mouses, and run VGA

Not enough storage space error
Hello Andrew & Louis,
Yesterday by around 1:30 PM we had the same issue. Samba AD kicked all
of us out and RSAT did not connect to any domain controllers.
/*Incidentally the RSAT that caused this error was running on Windows 7
Professional 64 Bit edition.*/
When I restarted the samba-ad-dc service, all started working well
again. However, as mentioned again, I could not trace the error
