Hi, I'm interested from where Centos gets the source RPMs of updates for Red Hat Linux? problems with read.ssd in foreign

SAS program at c:\windows\TEMP\Rtmp6673\file24544.sas a log and other error products should be in the vicinity Warning messages: 1: c:/Program not found 2: SAS return code was -1 in: read.ssd(libname, "subset", sascmd = sascmd) sas.exe is not on my path, and I've tried variious ways to enter the path to sas.exe allowing for the spaces, without success. Am I missing something? Is it true that R cannot deal with path names containing spaces? I was able to create an xport file from SAS, and read this with subset<- read.xport("c:/sasuser/consult/subset.xport")...

Centos6(64) SSH sessions fail irregularly
...NAT), so is invisible to the outside world. In a successful use of SSH just after installing the needed software, I installed the DSA keys so no password is used. Subsequent to that, and at seemingly unpredictable frequent attempts, I get results such as a) A successful SSH login as desired. Variious commands, sucn as "ls" and such, work fine. b) A successful login, but a write failure with whatever I enter next c) Connection refused d) A request for password (followed by failure) I can't seem to connect these various errors with any activity on the server -- I'm monitoring...

installing R from source on fedora
...package by doing yum install yum-utils. This package contains a program called yum-builddep which builds the dependencies that another software package needs. Therefore, once yum-utils is installed, one can issue the command su -c "yum-builddep R" and this should download and install the variious packages that R is dependent on. Again it does not matter what directory you are in when you issue this command. The steps 3A) and 3B) should most likely provide all the header files and development tools that are needed to build R from source. But you won't know until you try it. #==========...
