I really do appreciate that you took your time to reply but everything you have said has been vapid, the mantra of a dead rhetoric. Thank you for at least trying. Design changes are done in Fedora
...We have already discovered everything we are going to discover up to and including February 18, 1900.? ? William Thomson, Lord Kelvin, 1900 Not exactly the sparkling sort of statement we expect from one of the most brilliant scientists ever to walk the planet, is it? Rather on the vapid side, yes? Could it be that that is not actually what he meant? Don?t like Kelvin? ?Kay, how about this one: ?The advancement of the arts, from year to year, taxes our credulity and seems to presage the arrival of that period when human improvement must end.? ? Henry J....

They broke compatibility to them in win10 twice already. It is just a mater of time until they...

...stop working. Unless you want to wake up one morning (probably about 1am in response to a phonecall) to find nothing works any more, then I suggest that you seriously consider upgrading. > > I really do appreciate that you took your time to reply but > everything you have said has been vapid, the mantra of a dead > rhetoric. Thank you for at least trying. Have a great day. They say the truth hurts and you sure sound hurt, From what you have posted, it sounds like you are using a PDC for authentication, you can easily upgrade this to AD. Rowland

Patch to allow checking of v1 keys on remote host.
The attached patch for 4.6p1 adds a feature (-u) that will check to see if a key exists on a remote host. I use this for auditing my users transition to v2 keys very useful. If there is any interest I'll provide a patch for v2 ssh keys also. http://vapid.dhs.org/dokuwiki/doku.php?id=vapidlabs:openssh_check_key_patch -- Thanks Larry --- orig/openssh-4.6p1/sshconnect1.c 2006-11-07 07:14:42.000000000 -0500 +++ openssh-4.6p1/sshconnect1.c 2007-05-15 03:31:06.740012440 -0400 @@ -69,10 +69,11 @@ u_int i; Key *key; BIGNUM *challenge; + u_char buf...

centos Installation on Multiple machines
Hi, I want to install customized centos on multiple systems. Can PXE boot do that ? Apart from this is there any other way of doing image copy of centos OS and installing it on several client machines through network. I used clonezilla, but after image cloning, i will again have to use the clonezilla LIVE CD on client machine to do a image restore. I want to make a clone of centos OS and

External Authentication
Hello, I've done a lot of reading and searching however; I could use some guidance. I just started working for a school in which there are a few Windows labs as a Linux systems administrator. Our workstation sysadmins have asked me to look into a Samba issue for them, Windows 10 systems have to have SMB1 turned on to authenticate against the existing Samba3 server. This work around hasn't

MIT vs GPL vs LGPL for open source project
I intend to release a project I wrote with Rails. What is the right licensing scheme for a web application (content managing system) which could grow with plugins and add-ons ? Personally, I would prefer the GPL but does that mean any add-on to the CMS (like task management) will have to be GPL ? If some people contribute to the code could it still be double-licenced so that the people who

Documentation question.
Hello all. I have been working on adding some logging abilities to the ext3 filesystem. I am at the point now where I could use some pointers to source code documentation, functions, data structures generally an overview of the implementation. If such a beast exists I would love to be pointed at it. -- Larry Cashdollar

connect() timeout patch.
Hello all, I am wondering where one would submit a patch to OpenSSH cvs version? I have written a patch that allows the user to set a timeout the ssh clients connection attempt. I added this because many of us use ssh in automated scripts and in some cases machines may no longer be reachable, rather than wait you can set the timeout to say 3 seconds (-z switch). -- Larry Cashdollar
