Building Modules Against Xen Sources
...kernel source directories by adjusting buildconfigs/
mk.linux-2.6-xen. I changed the line that read:
LINUXSRC_DIR=....
to:
LINU
This still requires me to build my kernels a second time to get a
good build directory. Is there a better way to do this? Can we make
this easier?

Is XVD live resize possible?
Hi!
Say I export an LVM logical volume from dom0 as /dev/xvda to the domU:
disk = [ ''phy:xenimages/stan,xvda,w'' ]
No I can lvresize xenimages/stan in dom0, but the domU stays ignorant
of this change. How could I propagate the resize to the domU without
rebooting or temporarily breaking its connection to /dev/xvda? Sort
of a SCSI rescan, perhaps?

The Joys of ADSI
...some of this do I have a
reasonable chance of expecting integration (if the patches are clean)?
Would it be helpful if I put some documentation in the ADSI code? Also,
who knows enough about ADSI to seriously help me understand some of the
inner meanings of states, subs, events, and such?

Does XEN support crash carts?
While VNC is good enough, it doesnt work
if the NIC is down. So is there a way to switch
amongst guest VMs once a crash carts
monitor/keyboard/mouse is attached to the
video/USB/etc. ports (on the back of the physical
box running XEN)?
For the network down (out-of-band)
emergencies, is there a way to
switch amongst domain and/or guest VM
consoles once a crash cart terminal

Call Queue Manager and DID Digits
I've been asked to create a graphical "call-queue"
manager. That is, use the existing call queues application but allow
a way to view what's coming and attach information to it. As far as the
"attaching information" that's in the realm of my application, but I'm
trying to figure out if the internals of queues are exposed through any
interface. Any help there?

Xvd Problem
...ted. I also couldn''t kill it without
rebooting the machine.
The only thing about this device (that I can tell) is that it has a
high device minor:
brw-rw---- 1 root disk 152, 272 Feb 4 01:25 /dev/etherd/e1.1
Does the Xen vbd have problems with these newer device nodes?

XenFS
I''ve been looking at perhaps sharing some data between various domUs.
Specifically, a Gentoo Portage tree.
I found XenFS (http://wiki.xensource.com/xenwiki/XenFS). Is this
going anywhere? I couldn''t get it to build.

Bug#586772: blktap2 Support
We have a great many VMs that are stuck on Lenny because of this. Probably can build it ourselves, but would prefer to avoid the maintenance nightmare. Please make this happen, as we really like Debian.
Thanks,

OT: How do I know if I should have IO-APIC?
With regards to the IRQ sharing situation on 400P/X100P cards how would
I know if I can use IO-APIC?
I am running RHEL 3 on a Dell PowerEdge 1400SC. RHEL installs without
IO-APIC support. Is this because RH is overly conservative or because
it queried my machine and that is the appropriate option?
Does RHEL 3 have a kernel for IO-APIC if appropriate or am I expected to
do a custom kernel build

aastra pt480 and adsi
Ok, so I figured out my problem with my pt480s. But, now I have a few more.
1. When I dial into the voicemailmain or voicemailmain2 application, the
phone and * start talking adsi, but then the phone tells me "programming
download canceled, services is full.", but my services list isn't full, only
"Asterisk PBX" occupies slot 2, slots 1, 3 and 4 are available. Any ideas?

Optimization
The Makefile optimizes with -O6 by default. Has anyone profiled this?
I've heard (and personally measured) that many programs benefit far more
from -Os than any other setting. Apparently the gains from smaller code
(i.e. not trashing the cache) outweigh most other benefits in most code.
Anyone up to testing this?

Lost in the Zhone
I've picked up a few Zhone channel banks that I currently am using to
test. I've been ready to go into production but I'm a little worried by
their behavior.
Yes, I've read that they are evil and unsupported by their masters.
No, I'm not using the data port. I just need a channel bank.

On-Hook ADSI
Hello list,
I have reason to believe that ADSI can be spoken to phones even when
they're onhook. Is this true? Does anyone know?
Right now, I'm having trouble figuring out how to do anything to an
onhook channel other than ring it. Does this require a magic
application and some serious voodoo? Any pointers?
I got onto this idea because I noticed that whenever I got voice mail on
