unable to map to share
...I can use smbclient on this server to connect to another
Samba server and it's share just fine. HOWEVER, we are not able to map
to this server. We can ping it. We can nslookup it. But on a Windows XP
Pro machine, using command line, I'm not able to connect:
net use x: \\libdig4.library.vanderbilt.edu\test
<file:///\\libdig4.library.vanderbilt.edu\test>
It should 1) automatically recognize me since we are authenticating
through Active Directory and 2) create the share so that I can
read/write to it, but neither one happens. It actually prompts me for my
username & password and...

What is the best way to have "R" output tables in an MS Word format?
...update data in our papers more
easily.
Do people have suggestions for the best way to do this?
I am a novice to "R" but I do work with a couple of
very knowledgeable statisticians who do most of the heavy statistical
lifting for our research group.
Many thanks,

Samba with Winbind Doesn't See New AD Groups
We have an issue where new groups that are created in Active Directory are not visible in Samba. Groups that were created more than about one month ago are visible. We?re using clustered Sernet 4.3.9 with winbind (with ID mapping) and CTDB. NSCD is not running. We?ve tried restarting Samba, but still have the issue. The OS is RHEL 6.7 and the kernel is 2.6.32.

New versions of Hmisc and Design on CRAN
New versions of source packages for Hmisc and Design are available from
CRAN for R 1.9 on Linux/Unix. Knowing Uwe Ligges, a Windows binary is

These versions pass R CMD check for the latest R-devel so I expect they
will work on the next production release of R.

Which JAGS interface to use?
Frank (or anyone else), can you offer any comments comparing runjags,
R2jags, rjags ?
I couldn't find any vignettes, nothing except a brief mention on Task Views.

Using accrualReport.s in Hmisc/Design
Hello,
I apologize for the post if this is not the appropriate place. I have
searched the R List archives and the Vanderbilt.edu website, but am not
able to understand how to use the accrualReport.s and associated scripts
available at the Vanderbilt site. It must be very simple, but I am at a
loss for ideas. Any suggestions or pointers in the direction of
examples?
thanks very much.
