Parsing a SQL file directly intoactiverecord::executemethod - Not a vamp I swear
It doesn''t like SET commands, or #Comments, etc. Looks like no way =
around this without using forgoing active record. I don''t really want =
to do that at this point.

How I can run background servicce for my Win application?
Hello Everybody,
First think sorry for my not good English.
My friends and I are trying to porting SCO TermVision 2.1 on Linux.
TermVision is a good UNIX Terminal emulator with re-vamping features
for our UNIX applications. So we want to use this applications on our
Linux pc.
Unfortunately, we are able to install TermVision with wine 1.0 on our
Mandrake 7.2 but after, the application

CIFS/ACLs
Hi,
I am using CIFS 2.01.01 on HPUX11V2. CIFS is running in ADS
security-mode. Winbind is used to map the userers from the W2K3-Domain
(german) to an tdb-file. The user mapping works fine, but I have
problems with the ACLS: setting the ACLS to a file or folder from
windows leads in "access denied". I'm the owner of the object and have
full access. The really crazy thing is,

C++11 and GCC 5+
This may be common knowledge to some, but it was new to me.
Libraries that use C++11 and are compiled with GCC 4.8.x that CentOS 7.x
has are NOT binary compatible with GCC 5.x or newer.
It seems to only effect C++11.
What you have to do -
create /opt/gcc55 (or whatever)
Rebuild any libraries that use C++11 that you need in something compiled
with GCC 5+ and install them within that prefix.

Sims 3 and the DVD bug. Some questions.
I have come over to wine from Cedega. I love wine by the way. Sims 3 on Cedega saw the DVD with no issues, however since coming over to wine, I need a no cd patch.
I applied the wine patch in bug 26273, it now sees the DVD but cannot verify the authenticity of the DVD and recommends I "Contact my Administrator!"
I note that in the bug a winetrick was used with the file type, does any

nut + usb + udev with kernel 2.6.22
Hi all,
Here's a brief history of my adventure: I purchased a CyberPower 685 AVR
and decided to connect it through USB to my Gentoo linux machine running
kernel 2.6.22. While the device was detected properly and added to
/dev, it was added with the wrong permissions (gid was set to 'usb'
instead of 'nut', as it was expected to be according to the rules under

Index abuse
How resilient is Dovecot's indexing mechanism? (seeing as it's been
extensively re-vamped I guess this question may have different answers for
0.99 & 1.0).
To put it in context, I'm playing with server-side automatic maintenance
scripts for things like deleting messages more than x days old from folders
a, b, c, etc. (using Maildir layout). So far I'm just zapping files in

Krauler UP-D1200VA
Hello. I have this UPS:

Vendor ID: 0x0001, Device ID: 0x0000
#KRAULER UP-D1200VA VER6.00

Currently I have nut 2.2.0 installed from sources. Installation was
successful except that I had to change a string in 52-nut-usbups.rules from:

NFS error 101, again
Hi,
I've got another one... NFS error 101 with NFSROOT has been discussed a
lot, and hpa gave an answer to it which appears right. It's ENETUNREACH,
and I suspect my diskless box does not set its IP parameters right.
PXElinux is set up as follows:
label linvdr
kernel kernel-linvdr
append initrd=initrd-linvdr acpi=off root=/dev/nfs \

Bug in minimal.rb
Hi!
I discovered WxRuby2 and WxSugar a short while ago (1.9.1) and I really
like its professional look and the platform independance. But
especially the simplification and ''rubyfication'' that you already
achieved and are planning for 1.9.2 (event handlers) is funstuff!
Thanks a lot!
And with Ruby 1.9/2 the keyword constructors will be even nicer with
the new hash syntax:

Grandstream CFG file generator
I've just finished a general purpose configuration utility for the GS
phones:
1) Generates files from scratch (using MAC), from HTML config listing,
or by directly downloading from the phone.
2) Does multiple simulteneous edits.
3) Can reboot as many or as few phones at a time as you like.
I would like to offer it to the list, but there are 2 issues:
1) I want to GPL it first, if

XRC Problem
Hello All,
I''ve looked back through the wxruby-users archive, and found someone
else was having the same problem when it comes to Accessing XRC and
getting a GTK Error about GtkPizza. I don''t know what the problem is,
as what I''m using, is wxGlade to develop my user interface, and it
creates all the controls in what looks like it should be fine, but it''s
