Ok, I've been literally throwing things in my effort to fix this. Please help me from damaging something valueable! :) I've installed Samba 3.0.22 and OpenLDAP etc. I've used the IDEALX scripts to create the LDAP tree etc. Everything goes swimmingly until I try to check and see if NSS/PAM is working right. I use the following command as shown in SBE to check NSS/PAM working. getent passwd | grep root...

backup mdbox best strategy
Hello, i have to backup (tape library) a mailsystem with about 300.000 Mailboxes on 2 backends. Summary of all mailboxes are 2 TByte. The mailstore is mdbox. Is it save to do a simple filesystem backup (full and incremental) with backupsoftware? What is the prefered strategy to do a backup for desaster recovery (mailsystem crash) and restoring single usermailboxes? Regards, Claus

[SOLVED + EXPLANATION]: Strange ISDN-problem with incoming calls out of the same city
...y can do this only for a defined number of digit. If they set a length of e.g. 8 digit, they can not predict what will happen to a call that has more or less numbers. For us that meant that we had to look for a solution that solves the problem on the ISDN card. EICON support gave us a number of valueable hints on how to configure DID and to set a timeout of 2 seconds. Which means that the card would only wait 2 seconds for the whole number to transfer. This settings is ridiculous! According to a support guy from German Telecom (yes, I know most Germans won't believe that German Telecom has...

State of Development
Hi all, I''m sure you''re all wondering what the heck is going on with development and why there are so many open tickets. Hopefully this email will answer those questions for you. Dynamic fields and AAF
Hi, I have a model which has properties, these are your standard name/value pairs, but also have attributes that affect how I want to store them in ferret. I was using 0.9.5 with 0.2 of aaf, which seemed fine, I just copied and pasted (yes, I know, ick) the to_doc method and added code to iterate though the properties that that model had, and add relavent fields to the document. It seems

Weird Load and Battery Temp Readings
I've acquired and installed NUT 2.4.1 on a D-Link DNS323 NAS. With exception of Load and Battery Temp readings all works well. [LLVMdev] Re: gcc like attributes and annotations
hi Chris! thanks for your reply. First of all I did not know about the history with the Annotation stuff. Annotable for me was a way how one could realize this things. So as I see it right now - it is more that Annotable will completly vanish soon. This is interesting to me.
