Valet Parking and SuperValet Parking - back level
It seems Valet Parking and Super Valet Parking won't compile with CVS after 3/4/2005. Apparently some major reworks to Asterisk has broken the out-of-tree modules. Ref: http://bugs.digium.com/view.php?id=3573
The standard Parking lacks functionality and doesn't support contexts. Yet the more current CVS supports several much needed features like Chan Spy and native MOH as well as

Valet Park with Hint - Button Support
We have Valet Park working well with 1.4.25. We have programmed the Polycom
softkeys to include a park button that does a blind transfer to the park
extension.
Has anyone gotten the a button to activate when a particular park orbit is
in use? It would be great if you could press the button to retrieve the
parked call.

app_valetparking / parking in general
Does anyone have Music-On-Hold and valet parking, or regular parking
working together? No matter how I configure it, I cannot get moh to
continue to play after I park a call using either valet parking or
regular parking. The only thing I can think of is that I might need to
use # transfer instead of sip native transfer?
Shouldn't this just work? If needed I can post the config for one

app_valetparking.c
Since www.bkw.org seems not to exist anymore (getting response from some
hosting provider), does anyone happend to have a copy of app_valetparking.c
from www.bkw.org - the one that should work with * stable 1.0.X ? If so
please contact me.
One that can be downloaded from www.loligo.com dosn't compile with 1.0.X,
and SuperValletParking (www.asterlink.com/svp/) seems to be for * HEAD

Re: app_valetparking.c for * STABLE (1.0.X)
Nope ! This is the one that tries to include PRE 1.0.X header file
<parking.h>.
It cannot compile on * 1.0.X (I have tried also to include <features.h>
instead of <parking.h> (as far as I know features.h is successor to
parking.h), but still without results).
Thanks anyway.

Teaching material for children...
Wondering if anyone is aware of resources appropriate for home
schooled pre-teen/teen relatives?
Before anyone suggests, a lengthy google search was unsuccessful.

Making iconv portable?
Hello, All:
What would it take to make ?iconv? portable?
I ask, because I want to convert accented characters to vanilla ASCII, thereby converting, e.g., ?Ra?l? to ?Raul?, and Milan Bouchet-Valet suggested on R-help that I use 'iconv(x, ?", "ASCII//TRANSLIT?)?. This worked under Windows but failed on Linux and Mac. It?s part of the ?subNonStandardCharacters? function

New version vorb_enc.dll
Hi all,
I've just posted another version of vorb_enc.dll (w/source code) at
http://xtractor.sourceforge.net/vorbdll-20000626.zip
It will still work as a drop-in replacement for bladeenc.dll (just rename
the files that your ripper creates from MP3 to OGG), but will also accept
info for the ogg comment header in the vorb struct in the format union of
the BE_CONFIG struct. I'll be

Help Needed in configuring Cisco 7940
I bought a Cisco 7940, I need to configure it for
Asterisk. I checked the wiki pages. Followed the link
to Cisco web page. Tried to download the image for
SIP. It wo'nt allow me even though I registered for
the CCO Valet. Is the image available anywhere else?
I saw some of the messages in the mailing list that it
supposed to be fairly simple.
I would highly appreciate if somone could post

APP - ValetParking on CVS-HEAD -- instructions on its use, anyone?
I've finally got this beast installed, but now I don't see how to use it.
I've looked over the web near and far, and it just seems that no one has
anything on its implementation.. This is all I get from the CLI:

Call Parking and multiple contexts
Is there any way to define call parking parameters for different
contexts?
For example, if I have a client in context 100 and another client in
context 200, can they both define parking positions, say, from
701-710, where 701 in context 100 is different from 701 in context 200?
Or even better, can context 100 define parking positions 701-710 and
context 200 define parking positions

Psych can't load LaTeX entities file
...MARK

Steps to reproduce:
1) Get a Ruby build with Psych support (the libyaml development headers
have to be present when compiling Ruby)
2) Go to IRB
3) require "psych"
4) YAML = Psych
5) require "redcloth"

Can't install RedCloth gem, fails to compile

=======================================
It seems that RedCloth''s Makefile instructs GCC to treat warnings as
errors (as it can be seen in the build output) and then a warnings
occurs during compilation, causing GCC to abort compilation.
Is there any way to ignore this restriction?

WxRuby refresh from a long running function
Hi All,
This is my first post and I am a complete (well
almost complete) noob at WxRuby. I have
programmed in Ruby for a while, but now I am
trying my hand at a GUI base program running on
Windows. There is quite a bit of serial
communication between the app and a external
device. The problem I am facing is a function call
that takes a long time to complete before
returning to WxRuby.

Parking & SIP Phones
Hello,
I know not too long ago I saw /something/ _somewhere_ about an
adjustment to call parking that allowed blind transfers from SIP phones
to park a call and still be able to hear the parking lot stall number.
Unfortunately, I have no idea where I saw that (google turned up little,
couldn't find it on the list either). I'm using Sipura SPA-2000
adapters and it doesn't seem to
