circles overshoot (PR#629)
...lot(c(1.0,0,2),c(1.0,0,2));
symbols(c(1.0),c(1.0),circles=(c(1.0)),inch=FALSE,add=TRUE); #?
Why does the circle overshoot ?
The problem is the same on all devices (even with my pictex, which needs a
lot of refurbishing), so I'd think it's something upstream to the devices
code.
Thanks,
Valerio.

How to report successfull and unseccessful login attempts
...logins.
We have tried with log level 2 and we get the unsuccessfull as well but
with those a million of other irrelevant (for us) events are logged.
We know we could patch the source code (I think we should patch
source/auth/auth.c) but we prefer taking a simpler approach.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

pictex
The example at ?pictex does not work (the driver apparently uses
'rotatebox') for me as stated. It did compile after including the
graphicsx package. A MWE is at the help page for pictex. I tried to
get in touch with Valerio but his email bounced. Probably we want to
add a \usepackage{graphicsx} to the help page and try to track down
Valerio.
Cheers,
Kyle

I tried also

cross-validation for count data
Hi everybody,
I'm trying to use cross-validation (cv.glm) for count data. Does someone know which is the appropriate cost function for Poisson distribution?
Thank you in advance.

smbstatus issue with multiple smbd
...local/samba/lib/smb.conf.users
and the other with smb.conf.groups, we get a full report which just list all the
locks for the users and groups lists altogheter.
We would like to have two distinct reports.
Is there any ease way to get this or must we perl-script something?
Hope it is clear.

With many user, I can perform different personalized procedures.
(thinking at my case this is cool!)
Many stylistic enhancements can take place... but I'm a sysadm :P
I think this patch should be a usefull feature, in this case: nice to
support the community!

Xen domU crashes accessing to drbd disk if using maxmem.
...11.2 and 11.3 boot disks and a trk disk

Dom0 kernel is 2.6.34.7-0.3-xen, one of tested kernel is 2.6.34-12-default

Some hint about this? What am I missing?

force apply not to drop the dimensions of FUN results ?
Dear R users,
Here is my problem:
I have an array with at least four dimensions:
> dim(myArray)
[1] 20 17 3 6
I'd like to apply a function to each occurrence of the matrix (3x6)
defined by the last two dimensions. This interpolation function always
return a matrix of the same dimensions as its argument:
> interpSecteurs.f(myArray[1, 1, , ])
