A faster ogginfo
Good day all,
I have a small collection of ogg files (5Gb) on my fileserver which I have mounted over NFS.
My problem is that ogginfo takes too long to be used practically in programs like gqmpeg due to naturally wanting to do
a full file check on each ogg file for valadity etc.
My question/request is; is there a way to make ogginfo only look at the headers (ie, first K or two of data) and not

I was thinking of writing something myself to extract the trackname/etc but I thought it best to check with everyone to

Cannot read strange filenames
Hello List,
on a windows-pc are files with an EURO-Sign "?" included in the
filenames. This is working between all XP and 2000 Clients.
But if i try to access such a file from a linux-box, I cannot read this
files. I switched to the german charset with EURO Sign but no success.
Then i tried the cifs instead of smbfs. But the same effect. Switching
to UTF-8 doesn't work too.

loop does not work
Hi,
I am new to R and am trying to do a loop but it seems not to run after one
turn.
What I want to do is subset my dataframe (extract one station and one day)
to calculate and store the maxima that can then be plotted.
I have an error message at the end of each loop:
Error: unexpected '}' in "}"
Here is my code:
