Share name must = vaild user?
I have been having a heck of a time trying to setup samba with "security =
share"
I have the following shares and related config files defined yet windows
95/98 clients get password rejected when trying to connect to the shares.
However I have found that if I call the share the same as the user in the
valid user parameter the
can connect fine. I have tried the "username map"

[LLVMdev] UBSan detects misaligned memory accesses in llvm-profdata and llvm-cov
Hi!
UBSan bootstrap bot fails with error report on 5 llvm-cov and llvm-profdata
lit-tests:
http://lab.llvm.org:8011/builders/sanitizer-x86_64-linux-bootstrap/builds/4526/steps/check-llvm%20ubsan/logs/stdio
Also see http://llvm.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=20815.
The error reports look vaild: in general it's incorrect to load uint64_t,
or even structures like "RawHeader" or "CoverageMappingTURecord" from a
random address. Also, if you parse files stored on disk, it would certainly
help to know endianness of data in these files and, e.g., use routines from

New to the list and one quick question
...d these I will check out. But I then got a wild idea and
pulled out my 1st CD of RH9, dropped it into the CD drive and at the
boot prompt ran media check. RH9 disk 1 checked out fine, so I dropped
in the CentOS disk 1 and ran it. It checked out fine and so did all the
rest of them. Is this a vaild test?? Or am I just blowing in the wind
here?? Thanks for any input into this matter!!

How to read rails documentation
...what effect force has, but more so just understanding how
I''m supposed to read & understand the docs. I feel like as I work with
rails this kind of thing comes up all the time. There is some magic method
that takes a hash of arguments and it is near impossible to trace down what
the vaild options are.

The puppetdb is remote for the puppetmaster and is using postgresql.
Direct connect from puppetmaster to the postgresql puppetdb is vaild.
We don''t see any hint in the logfiles.

Verifying existance of related record
Is there an easy way to validate that a related record exists?
I''ve got a table that contains a set of categories and I want to make
sure the user has entered a vaild category (i.e. a category that exists
in the categories table). So in the model of the table I put this:
class Master < ActiveRecord::Base
belongs_to :category, :foreign_key => "categoryid"
validates_presence_of :categoryid
def validate_on_create
unless Category.fi...

XML Builder File Extention
...have created a rxml template and I am sucessfully generating valid
xml.
However, the file does not have an extention on it. This is creating a
problem for one of the applications running on my computer, when
referencing the file off the server it requires the .xml file extention.
Despite being vaild xml it needs that extention.
I am lost at how to solve this problem.
I am still working in a development environment, and running the newest
versions of anything.
I would appreciate any help and feel free to contact me directly.
Best,

dovecot + vpopmail
I was just wondering how dovecot interacts with vpopmail. Does it just call the vchkpw and pass the username and password to it then wait for a it to tell dovecot weather the user is vaild or not ? Does vchkpw pass back the users homedir ?
PS. My plan is to just replace vchkpw with a script/program of own. that dovecot can call to auth a user again xmail passwd file. And using "auth_passdb = static uid=<uid> gid=<gid> home=<dir template> mail=<dir template...

How to automate SMBMNT
Hi there,
How do I automate smbmnt so that when logging on, it mounts the required
shared directories on an NT4.0 file system using the user name and
password I used t gain access to the GUI ?
I s this possible. I am currently running Network Neighborhood and have
been using this application for access but this requires that I scan
mount and log-on again before gaining access to that share.

I have also set the following:

Virtual devices disappear in dladm show-link
Using OpenSolaris 2008.11 build 110.
Created vnic''s and etherstub''s and they are displayed using dladm show-links but when the server is rebooted a ''dladm show-link'' is empty although the vnic and etherstub devices are still there and function properly.
That is a real inconvenience, so why do the no longer show after a reboot or shutdown/start?
Is there a

[libnbd PATCH] lib: Call read/extent(FREE) before callback(VALID|FREE)
...specify the
order in which callbacks are made, allowing the callback(FREE) to
occur prior to the read(FREE) puts a burden on the client to not
dereference the user_data in the read() function if the VALID bit is
not set. If the client follows our suggested practice of an immediate
return 0 if the VAILD bit is not set, then this is the case, but we
can't guarantee all clients will use that pattern. And, it's fairly
easy to guarantee that ALL of our read/extent callbacks are made prior
to any of our callback() use, by utilizing the FINISH state of
structured replies to catch the few cases...
