Configuring LLVM v6.0 RC2 on Windows
Hi LLVM-Devs, When I try to configure LLVM v6.0 RC2 (SVN Rev #324869) on Windows (I haven't yet had a chance to try on Linux), I get a series of errors such as this: CMake Error at cmake/modules/AddLLVM.cmake:1333 (add_dependencies): The dependency target "(" of target "check-all" does not exist. Call Stack (most recent call first): CMakeLists.txt:937

Configuring LLVM v6.0 RC2 on Windows
Maybe it's caused by the space after the X86 argument? Can you try removing all the -D flags, and see if that works? Then add them one by one to see which is the culprit? -Dimitry > On 17 Feb 2018, at 23:11, Martin J. Heap Exhaustion during 'DAGCombiner::Run'
Hi LLVM-Devs, I am in the process of updating our out-of-tree implementation from v5.0 to v6.0 RC3, and while it builds and mostly runs, I am having trouble with a small number of tests where the 'WorklistMap' in 'DAGCombiner::Run' never becomes empty. This is resulting in a runaway state of continuous heap allocation until the process exhausts all system memory. But I can't

Heap Exhaustion during 'DAGCombiner::Run'
We discovered what is happening. SDAGCombiner essentially looks at various combinations of nodes to do with vectors, and when it can, it creates a vector shuffle. The problem is, that our vector shuffle lowering builds new trees with vector element, or vector sub-vector insert sequences. The generic DAGCombiner, reconstructs these into a new shuffle, and so the loop continues - we reduce it,

Heap Exhaustion during 'DAGCombiner::Run'
Martin: I suspect this is an issue with post-DAG legalization store merging in the DAGCombiner. If you have a custom lowered type the DAGCombiner may end up merging a set of stores and immediately splitting them up in legalization. You should be able to disable this pass universally by overriding mergeStoresAfterLegalization() or conditionally for cases that shouldn't match with

Heap Exhaustion during 'DAGCombiner::Run'
Martin: It sounds like you are doing is more akin to shuffle selection than fusion and therefore it's a better fit for instruction selection than DAGCombining. Try movign it to <Target>ISelDAGToDAG's Select (or potentially PreprocessISelDAG). Th -Nirav On Tue, Mar 6, 2018 at 4:05 PM Martin J. O'Riordan <MartinO at theheart.ie> wrote: > We discovered what is

Questions on smbclient messaging
I'm running Samba v2.0.5a on a RedHat v6.0 system. This server provides SMB shares to Win98, OS/2 and Linux clients. Everything is running fine with the Win98 and OS/2 clients, but I have a few questions regarding Samba and Linux clients. 1. Is there a way for Linux systems to receive SMB messages? Something analogous to Windows' "WinPopup" or OS/2's "Network

make check failed on linux-amd64 using PGI compilers
Dear R-help, I am trying to build R-2.2.0-patched (2005-11-07 r36217) on the head node of a Scyld cluster (dual Opteron 250s) using PGI compilers (v6.0). I used the flags suggested by Jennifer Lai on R-devel (taken from R-admin, except that I had to add -L/usr/X11R6/lib64 to LDFLAGS). The build went fine, but make check-all failed when running tests/Examples/graphics-Ex.R, at: > plot(1:2,

Dimension of apply(X, MARGIN, FUN) when FUN returns a matrix
Dear all, apply(X, MARGIN, FUN, ...) returns an array of dimension c(n, dim(X)[MARGIN]) when FUN returns a vector of length n > 1. Matrices and arrays are also vectors, so if FUN returns a matrix or an array, apply returns an array of dimension c(n, dim(X)[MARGIN]) as above. This is in accordance with the description of apply in the Blue Book, and also how Splus works (at least v6.0). I am

building in AIXV5.3 using the IBM C for AIX compiler V6.0
What fun. I don't often stoke up the boiler and actually compile open-source code, but here I am at the beginning of just such a joyous and wondrous adventure. I'm running the latest level of AIX (V5.3...V4.3 has been obsolete for at least, what, 5 years) and using the IBM compiler (xlc is similarly obsolete, from back when the compiler came with the O/S...oh, for the halcyon days of

System Application, Fail/Timeout Issue
Does the System() dialplan application have a limit on how long it can run? Either a time limit, or server load limit? I'm trying to pipe the output of Sphinx2 into Text2Wave, but Asterisk just runs by it to the next extension priority, with no errors. If I run the same command via the system shell, all is good, though it does take a few seconds, probably about 5 seconds to run. Yes,

KVM resources?
Later this week I will have to install a serious KVM setup, and I am looking for background material. I found a nice how-to: http://wiki.centos.org/HowTos/KVM ...but it is probably partly outdated by now. Then there is a fine virtualization manual: http://www.centos.org/docs/5/html/5.2/Virtualization/ ...but it seems to be only for xen. I plan to use either CentOS 5.6 or Scientific Linux

dos filetime resolution and dvf
I am not getting much benefit from using oplocks = False or dos filetime resolution = True in Samba 1.9.18p3 on Solaris 2.5.1 and the Developer Studio in Digital Visual Fortran (v6.0) on WinNT4,SP4. I am also setting my PC clock to the samba server. I still get a lot of messages from the Studio informing me the source code files and workspaces have changed outside the editor or Studio

LLVM v6.0 Internalize and GlobalDCE PASS can not work together?
Hi Hal, Thanks for your hint! $ /opt/llvm-svn/bin/opt -S -internalize -internalize-public-api-list=main -globaldce hello3.ll -o hello3.dce.ll    it works :) But I argue that `main` Function should be inserted into ExternalNames by default: Index: lib/Transforms/IPO/Internalize.cpp =================================================================== --- lib/Transforms/IPO/Internalize.cpp

[cfe-dev] Disabling vectorisation at '-O3'
Yes, it looks like passing ‘EnableVec’ and ‘EnableSLPVec’ to ‘Args.hasFlag’ should be replaced with ‘false’ and then it has the expected behaviour. newbie questions
Thanks in advance for your patience and assistance. Since a system administrator's work is most successful when nobody knows you've done anything....(ugly that...you get neither raises nor equipment funding as a result), I prefer to learn from other's experiences rather than fail in the same pits. We are considering a switch from UW to Dovecot, since our users persist in using
