error configuring a public bridge --> uvt-kvm: error: libvirt domain 'newtest' has no NIC MACs available.
...all, First at all, excuse if this is not the right place for sending this email. I'm using ubuntu 14.04 server edition and i'm trying to deploy some virtual machines in a server in such a way that they are visible in the same network that the host machine. The tools I'm using are the uvtool package and libvirt. The error I'm getting is the following: "uvt-kvm: error: libvirt domain 'newtest' has no NIC MACs available." Here I'm providing the quickest way (I think) of reproducing my problem. The steps to follow would be: 1) Creating a bridge. This is my /...

This does not happen if I edit the files locally, the backup files are created but deleted after application quits. Is it something samba related? the share looks like: [uvt] comment = UVT For testing browseable = yes writable = yes path = /mnt/export2/smb/UVT guest ok = no create mask = 0644 directory mask = 0755 public = yes valid users = some users -- Luk?? PDC problem
...ve a problem with a LDAP backed based Samba PDC. Last week, due an hardware problem, I lost my primary LDAP server and PDC. I reinstalled the LDAP server and populated it with the old data, I also reinstalled Samba. The problem is that I can't log in to samba as root (cn=root,dc=info,dc=uvt,dc=ro). All others user accounts ar working except root. Eg.: `smbclient -U root //blue/` says: "session setup failed: NT_STATUS_UNSUCCESSFUL" The machine accounts and the other user accounts are working correctly but I can't join new machines using the root accou...

Auth Problem
...e your User Name and domain are correct then type your password again." Users can access shares, they are prompted for a user and password and it is ok. The same user and password does not work for login. What could be the problem? I've posted the logs and smb.conf at http://www.info.uvt.ro/~neagul/samba/ I want to mention that the server is a production server and was hit by a hardware failure. :-( I restored everything but it doesn't work. Thank you! Marian Neagul
