2 problems
Dear samba-folks,
I have 2 problems.
First, all the files that save raw data sent to be printed
doesn?t disapear from my printer service path
(/usr/spool/uucppublic), and then I have to run a cron job
everyday to empty this directory, but sometimes it is not
enough and I have to manually do that (the printing
intensive days...). How can I tell samba that after printed
these files can be deleted ?
Second, in my subnet (255.255.255.224) I have one NT 4.0

killing UUCP
Hey *, I'm getting an audit coming down the pipes and I have 2
4.6 release boxes to clean up. I say "clean up" because they
have some requirements that I missed despite due diligence. My
specific question is: To what extent can I get rid of UUCP?
Aside from the SUID/SGID stuff that pops up via my finds, I
simply see no reason to have any UUCP stuff on these boxes. Is

Samba ADS on AIX 6.1 TL04
Hi All
I'm trying to intergrate samba server with ADS on AIX 6.1 TL04, for last one
week, with idmap / winbind but no satisfactory results. I have gone through
various links at samba.org relating to winbind, idmapper and followed
http://pware.hvcc.edu/ for precompiled binaries and
http://pware.hvcc.edu/AIX-Samba.pdf which is for AIX 6.1 TL03 though.
I have found the samba which is provided

getent and wbinfo not returning expected results?
Hello,
For some time now have been trying to connect a Samba-3.0.14a-0.4
server running on SuSE Ent 9 linux server to our Exchange 2003
(running on Server 2003 Std w/ SP1) server which is also the AD
server for our domain.
I can connect to the shares using the AD as the authentication
source, so the basic functionality is there but some command output
does not show in the way i expect

Need urgent help regarding security
Good Day!
I think we have a serious problem. One of our old
server running FreeBSD 4.9 have been compromised and
is now connected to an ircd server..

However, we still haven't brought the server down in
an attempt to track the intruder down. Right now we
are clueless as to what we need to do..
Most of our servers are running legacy operating
