Changing journaling mode on root / loop-aes
...alking to someone from the Navy Reserves about how and if we can use RedHat for a project we are talking about. He leans toward using SuSE since it has encryption, where I prefer RedHat for other reasons. Will we ever see such support in RedHat? EXT3 Worries
...o that I can boot it up in rescue mode and get to an EXT3 partition for repair purposes if, need be yet? I am not happy with ReiserFS as partition magic does not recognize its partition layout. I am waiting to implement EXT3 when it becomes available. EXT3: tail packing status / a few questions
...an I revert back to EXT2 from EXT3, since Partition Magic does not know how to resize an EXT3 partition? b) Someone had posted a command to adjust the percentage of "reserve" space that EXT3 sets aside, can someone repost that again? 2GB of Waste? How can it be?
...hen I reformatted the partition with ReiserFS, and did a "df -h" I got 16GB of space! Now the partition was setup to be 16GB via fdisk, so 16GB is correct. However, why does EXT3 loose 2GB of space? The journals cannot be that big!?! Very Respectfully, Stuart Blake Tener, IT3 (E-4), USNR-R, N3GWG Beverly Hills, California VTU 1904G (Volunteer Training Unit) stuart@bh90210.net west coast: (310)-358-0202 P.O. Re: 2GB of Waste? How can it be? -- some JFS are worse than non-JFS
