SSLVerifyClient required with Apache+Mongrel
Hello, In the wiki "Using_Mongrel" http://projects.reductivelabs.com/projects/puppet/wiki/Using_Mongrel it proposes a configuration with the option: SSLVerifyClient require But with this option set I am not able to register new clients. When I run a new puppet client, I get the error: warning: peer certificate won''...

Puppetmaster with mongrel
Hey Guys, So i have puppetmaster running and well. I have a few questions 1) Even though i followed instructions on http://projects.puppetlabs.com/projects/1/wiki/Using_Mongrel on using Mongrel, puppetmaster is probably still using webrick since the client connection timeout still occurs. How do i make it use mongrel? 2) Now after messing a little with /etc/sysconfig/puppetmaster i increased the number of ports to 9 (18140 through 18148). How do I know these are being...

How to modify client authentication in passenger based puppet master behind ssl proxy
I''ve configured our DMZ apache webserver to proxy connections from our roaming users into our internal puppet master running under passenger/apache. Everything is pretty much working but because I am using SSL between the proxy server and the puppet master, the master treats the connection as authenticated as the proxy. My current work around is to allow access to all catalog and

WEBrick, Passenger or Mongrel
Hi, My organization is going to set up puppet soon. We have thousands servers and desktops. Would WEBrick work well for this? Or should we use Passenger? Thanks, Haiyan -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Puppet Users" group. To post to this group, send email to puppet-users@googlegroups.com. Separating puppetmaster file serving and catalogs
I''m looking for a way to run more than one puppetmaster on the same server under passenger. Most of the puppet CPU load is waiting for the catalogs to compile. This also seems to be mostly what takes large amounts of RAM. I have storedconfigs on. I want to be able to move the fileserver to a different pool of puppetmaster processes. Is there an easy way to tell the client, either in
