Fake ActiveRecord model?
Hi all, I have a legacy table which I cannot get to work with ActiveRecord (no ids etc). All I want is to create a class which opens a connection manually and allows me to execute some plain SQL statements. What I can''t figure out is how to either build up a connection and execute queries from a non-AR inherited class, or how to create a AR-inherited class minus all the AR magic and

Something broken in voicemail app??
I updated my source and compiled * last night so I am running CVS-HEAD-08/24/04-23:51:01. This morning I have noticed that when anyone tries to retrieve their voicemail, the voicemail app is not recognizing any digits entered from the phones (cisco 7960's), so It just times-out waiting for digits. Has anyone else seen this problem or could it be something in our environment? TIA, Jamie

doveadm: problem listing shared mailboxes using a wildcard
...scripting foo I'd like to get a list of shared mailboxes the user is currently subscribed to. The doveadm-mailbox man page says "It's also possible to use wildcards in the mailbox name." I'd like to use that feature to output only mailboxes from the shared namespace. However usind the wildcard character * doesn't output anything: # /bin/doveadm mailbox list -u fdl01 at spike.test -s shared* # Am I doing something wrong? p at rick P.S. 4.5.1 Upgrade Breaks Samba [Was: Schema Change Breaks Replication]
...796 > > Any idea why "smb" is not an invalid service? We no longer include the ntvfs file server (that is what 'smb' referred to, it is a historical oddity from before the 4.0 merge) in the default build. If you are using bind9, set: server services = -dns if you are not usind bind9 for DNS, remove 'server services'. Likewise remove any dcerpc endpoint services line. Samba will refuse to start up if the smb.conf referred to invalid or not-built components. Finally, in case this is how it happened, never use the output of testparm -v as an smb.conf file, plea...

read.table without sep
...data[2] totnorm(a,b) The problem i am facing is- xlab and ylab contain the column names of data[1] and data[2], but data[1][[1]] which is assigned to x1 has different data which does not correspond to the colname(data[1]). Stating more clearly, the colnames and the coldata don't match. I tried usind read.tablewithout sep attribute, as given below: data1<-read.table("alldata.txt",header=TRUE) But this statement is not getting executed using Rserve when i make a connection to R and try to execute it from a java servlet. I don't know why it was doing so, so thought it would be...

dosemu, not WINE, to run 16 bit DPMI
Some days ago, I asked for help running an old DOS program for a CA attorney. It seemed to have a problem with 16 bit DPMI. While we have had to (temporarily, I hope) compromise and use a licensed copy of DOS 6.22 to run it with dosemu, it runs perfectly on dosemu. Instead of usind a hdimage of freedos, which will not run the program, one creates a dir, /var/lib/dosemu/bootdir, and fills it with command.com, io.sys, msdos.sys, \mouse\mouse.com, whatever other command files you wish, pop in a simple autoexec.bat to set path, and load mouse driver, and config.sys. You can e...

Problems with MSOffice 97 installation
...allation ( with e:\setup.exe /a) on service APPS connected as drive i:. During installation i am getting messages that three files cannot be read : XLMAIN8.AW WDMAIN8.AW OUTHLP.AW I am ignoring those messages and administration setup is complete. When i am doing the same installation procedure, but usind cdrom exported by one NT Client i have no any error messages, all files are readable. Is there something wrong with my smb.conf, or is it one samba bug ? Changing share modes and locking to no on the APPS is adviced for the client installation but not for server installation. Many greetings, Tomek

Problems with res_odbc
...t know why. It's been hapenning since I enabled cdr_odbc/func_odbc in my system. We use func_odbc to register some queue member's events (login, pause, etc.) at an external DB ('remoto' connector) and to uptade local tables at a local DB ('local' connector). Currently we are usind cdr_odbc to Postgresql and cdr_addon to MySQL (wich we are planing to eliminate soon) Mayor issue is that SIP peers dissapear for 1 minute until modules get reloaded. Asterisk Version: 1.4.21.1 Local BD: Postgresql 7.4.19 External BD: Postgresql 7.4.19 This is what I see at logs: *Problem is beg...
