Usin ISO Linux & Memdisk to create a Viritual Floppydrive that Linux & Windows can load driver disk from.
With windows, if your "virtual" floppy is drive B:, then windows
will treat it specially. It will basically copy the contents into
memory from real mode using int13h, knowing that it will not be
able to access the device after it switches to protected mode.
I asked a few days ago about support for making a memdisk image
behave as drive B:, but got no answer. :-(
We have our assembly language guy looking at it, but it is slow as
he isn't very...

Best VPN server for * and woad warriors usin g windows?

CPU load. IPSec can be quite CPU intensive. So can asterisk. Putting two
CPU-intensive, time-sensitive applications on one machine is asking for
trouble. It may work, though, if you don't have too many simultaneous
users.

help usin scan on large matrix (caveats to what has been discussed before)
Dear all,
I have a few points that I am unsure about using scan. I know that it is
covered in the intro to R, and also has been discussed here:
http://www.mail-archive.com/r-help at r-project.org/msg04869.html
but nevertheless, I cannot get it to work.
I have a potentially very large matrix that I need to read in (35MB). I
am about to run it on a serv...

Usin ISO Linux & Memdisk to create a Viritual Floppy drive that Linux & Windows can load driver disk from.
Hi,
It is becoming a bad habit for big OEM vendors to sell computers & servers without floppy drives.
Unfortunatly both Windows and Linux (RedHat) need a floppy drive to load storage drivers etc. during installation.
This is what I was thinking:
Use ISOLINUX and MEMDISK to load a floppy image of a driver disk into memory as a viritual floppy drive "A:"/"/dev/fda" And then

Are you sure you are usin gcc44? Don't you need to run CC=gcc44 CXX=g++44 ../llvm/configure instead?

Don't forget to use torrents for your downloads!
For those who may forget, usin torrents to download and share the new
images will get you faster downloads (if enough folks participate) if
you have a "fat" pipe and alleviate the load on the CentOS servers.
I have a "chubby" pipe (~ 1.2MB/sec) and got the stuff really quickly
earlier today.
If your torrent...

Couldn't init INBOX: Can't sync mailbox: Messages keep getting expunged
Upon upgrading from 1.0.2 to 1.1rc4 I see this error for many of our users:
Getting size of message UID=1 failed
Couldn't init INBOX: Can't sync mailbox: Messages keep getting expunged
Logging in with IMAP I would see a bunch of messages with no subject or
time and blank bodies (usine horde/imp).
Removing dovecot.index.log, dovecot.index.log.2, or dovecot-uidlist
fixes the problem for the account (I chose dovecot.index.log). I imagine
that forces a rebuild of the indexes. Removing other files in the
directory didn't seem to make a difference, including dovecot.index or...

Using custom Maildir subfolders with pop3 deliveri
Greetings,
I am trying to make my antispam protection on user basis. So I need
something like .junkmail folder in every user maildir. But the problem
I am having is that my mail client can not download mail put in
.junkmail folder.
I am usin POP3 only, Maildir mailboxes (default_mail_env =
maildir:/var/mail/%u) and whether I make folder with leadin dot or not
it is never shown in mail client.
Sincerely I don`t even know if it is posible with POP3, but it would
be very hard converting to IMAP at this moment.
Thanks in advance.
