"unexpected symbol" error?

before. I have checked my data and searched the FAQ. I hoping someone
has a suggestion on what I might be doing wrong? Thanks!

Here's the code I'm using and the error:

Systematically biased count data regression model
...reasonable regression models mostly as in Zeileis, et al.
(2007), as well as transforming my variables, both with only small
improvements.
Do you have suggestions for making a model that would perform better
as a predictive model?
