cygwin tar?
...tly removed the
cygwin installation from my machine since R requires the use of the MingW
tools for building an R package with C code. However, when I tried to build
a source package, I found the following results:
* removing junk files
* building 'Rconifers_0.7-1.tar.gz'

when I set enabled=1 and removed the #-comment on this line
'yum list kernel'
shows this:

First steps towards a simple text stream format.

up the question of why it shouldn't do text decorations (bold, italics,
underlined), colors, sizes or even deliver the fonts themselves. If you
want to see a subtitle format that does some of this and much more
see USF (Universal Subtitle Format). Certainly one could embrace USF and
try to fit it into Ogg, but IMHO, it simply does more than a subtitle
format should. There can even be images and stuff in USF, and there's
plans for implementing rotations/transforms. Now this sounds a bit similar
to some...

Samba 2.2.8a/winbindd - 2K Domain users passwordchallenged
...rily register immediately and that's where I was running into trouble. That or something to do with files moving into place (like /lib/libnss_winbind.so) and not being "seen".
Now if I could only be sure of what service it was that need restarting ...

How to control shell access by group?
...t they are already users with winbind so why would I want to
add a linux user account if it essentially already exists and if I use
"template shell" they can get in.

expanding a presence only dataset into presence/absence

lm regression query
Hello:
I have a 4-column dataset: Crime, Education, Urbanization, Age. I want to
construct a multiple linear regression to find the effect of Education,
Urbanization, and Age on Crime"
lm(Crime ~ Education + Urbanization + Age)
If I use + in above statement, does it mean it will build a model to find
the relationship between Crime and Education when Urbanization and Age are
held constant?

...worry about this? I'd think that GCC would always be the
compiler of choice these days...
I've seen similar messages about Solaris machines but nobody has
mentioned which compiler that they're using.

Winbind is not used on this station for legacy reasons - and because
(though I haven't seen it recently) Winbind used to occasionally lose
its mappings and give everyone new IDs.

What's wrong with these mail headers?

may have been responsible for it.
