delays with IAX2 and Meetme
Hi there I am using IAX2 softphones dialing into meetme conferences. I also have jitterbuffer=yes, with typical jitterbuffer settings. The problem I am having is that as soon as there is a delay from a participant, then the delay continues until the participant hangs up and dials in again. When dialing in again the delay seems to go. It seems to me as though as soon as the server registers

kernel hz rate?
I''m attempting to get ztdummy working in domU and right now since rtc wont work properly and i get the error "rtc: IRQ 8 is not free." when trying to load the module i had to remove #Define USE_RTC from ztdummy. When doing that ztdummy wants the kernel''s hz rate to be 1000. Do i have to manually modify the kernel source to do this or can i do it live in the env somehow? Any downsides to changing the hz? -- ~Shaun _______________________________________________ Xen-devel...

2.6.13 Kernels
First, thanks to Kevin for the quick response to the 'minor' problem that zaptel had with 2.6.13 kernels. Interestingly in the kernel config you can now change the timer frequency. According to the help messages 100 HZ is a typical choice for servers, SMP and NUMA systems with lots of processors that may show reduced performance if too many timer interrupts are occurring. 250 HZ is a

Delay on sip channel
Hi, My SIP service provider terminates calls in meetme in my Asterisk PBX and am getting delay on those channels. I found following link to measure delay in meetme and to decrease it eventually. http://lists.digium.com/pipermail/asterisk-dev/2005-August/014958.html It says, enable USE_RTC for dahdi_dummy. I have been using virtual server for hosting Asterisk and I had it disabled as per one had mentioned here to prevent the crashing which was happening earlier..(http://www.odindev.com/content/troubles-zaptel-centos-52-xen). Can you shed some light on the issue? --SM

ztdummy/rtc
Hello, Maybe I'm missing something here. What is the proper way to use RTC with ztdummy now? I'm using -HEAD from a day or two ago on Linux 2.6.11.11. In zaptel/Makefile, I changed CFLAGS to: CFLAGS+=-I. -O4 -g -Wall -DBUILDING_TONEZONE -DUSE_RTC #-DTONEZONE_DRIVER and I get.. make -C /lib/modules/2.6.11.11/build SUBDIRS=/usr/src/zaptel modules make[1]: Entering directory `/usr/src/linux-2.6.11.11' Building modules, stage 2. meetme - conf-invalid
Hi Peoples I am having problems with meetme, in that it responds with "conf-invalid" when I dial a conference number. I notice that there is a note with regards to ztdummy, and the need for that to be loaded. Is this still the case? Is meetme dependent on this module? I do NOT use zaptel cards in my system, and there for zaptel is not loading. Can anyone shed some light

Horrible MeetMe performance
Hey folks, Using FreeBSD 5.2.1 and I've got the current zaptel driver installed from ports (0.8_1) and current ports asterisk (1.0.1). I've set options HZ=1000 in my kernel config, recompiled and rebooted and as far as I can tell, I've done everything right but when I try to use the conference, the audio is very delayed, choppy and segmented -- totally unusable. At the
