5.4-->5.5 Upgrade broke OO 3.2.0
In order to get an OpenOffice configuration that is closer in compatibility with MS Office 2007, I removed the standard OO in 5.4 via yum and installed the latest (3.2.0) from OpenOffice.org. The referenced GitHub issue now has a potential patch that could fix the problem, though it will need to be verified. Could you try to apply the patch and check if the problem persists ? OpenOffice 3.3.0 crashing on CentOS 5.5
The last few releases of OpenOffice have gotten very unstable on my desktop which is a CentOS 5.5 i386 system. After multiple crashes when doing embedded simple drawings in OpenOffice writer (circles and lines with connections), I started using the versions from Sun then Oracle. I am now using version 3.3: openooffice.org3-3.3.0-9567. I've lived with this but with version 3.x it has gotten

Yum dependency failure installing latest LibreOffice
I've been bashing my head on the wall for 2 or 3 hours for something that should be (and has been, in the past) simple. Trying to install the latest LibreOffice downloaded from Libreoffice.org. I had 6.0.1.1 and downloaded 6.4.0.2, and kept getting dependency errors: --> Running transaction check ---> Package libobasis6.0-base.x86_64 0:6.0.4.2-2 will be installed ---> Package
