update_va_mapping_otherdomain
Greetings, I have a technical question about update_va_mapping_otherdomain....... I have two components: a C program linked against libxc and a kernel module which performs the following simple sequence of events from domain zero: 1. Pause guest (unprivileged) 2. Grabs the PTE associated with a random (but present) page within the guest''s kernel&...

Incorrect update_va_mapping call in interface.tex (Interface Manual).
At the bottom of page 40 of the Interface manual, an "update_va_mapping" prototype is shown, but it should be an "update_va_mapping_otherdomain" prototype. (This prototype introduces the "update_va_mapping_otherdomain" hypercall documentation, so the association between hypercall and documentation is wrong.) Patch below. - bruce diff -r e...

"Bad type" when setting PML4 on x86_64
I''m to porting a lightweight kernel to Xen 3.0.4-x86_64 and have run into a problem while setting the PML4. Xen complains that it has a bad type of ''PGT_writable_page'' (e8000001), while it expects 80000000. However, I''m almost certain that this is not the case. I added a routine to do a depth first search of the four page table levels looking for this machine

[PATCH] make all performance counter per-cpu
.. avoiding the need to update them with atomic (locked) ops. Conversion here isn''t complete in the sense that many places still use the old per-CPU accessors (which are now redundant). Since the patch is already rather big, I''d prefer replacing those in a subsequent patch. While doing this, I also converted x86''s multicall macros to no longer require inclusion of

[PATCH 0 of 4] Minios improvements for app development
This patch series contains a set of patches making minios rather easier to use, from an application development point of view. Overview of patches: 1 Command line argument parsing support, from Xen. 2 Weak console handler function. 3 Build system tweaks for application directories. 4 Trailing whitespace cleanup. (because it is very messy) Patch 4 is likely to be more controversial than

[patch 00/20] XEN-paravirt: Xen guest implementation for paravirt_ops interface
This patch series implements the Linux Xen guest in terms of the paravirt-ops interface. The features in implemented this patch series are: * domU only * UP only (most code is SMP-safe, but there's no way to create a new vcpu) * writable pagetables, with late pinning/early unpinning (no shadow pagetable support) * supports both PAE and non-PAE modes * xen console * virtual block
