gdm_slave_xioerror_handler problem
Hi , guys:
Today , I work on my laptop which uses the CentOS x86_64 operating
system ,
Suddenly the X-windows restarts when left at the login screen for more than
a few seconds.
The error in my syslog is:
Apr 12 15:26:45 localhost gdm[2892]: gdm_slave_xioerror_handler: Fatal X
error - Restarting :0
This message came up serval times previously ~
Any other help would be nice.

automount complaints
Folks,
I've been getting complaints in our logfiles, such as
May 12 10:07:07 <servername> automount[3415]: update_negative_cache: key
".git" not found in map.
a) Is there a FAQ on automount that might cover some of this? Googling
hasn't found one for me?
b) Any clues as to what might be causing this? I see a lot of it,
in spurts.
