When I plot the predicted surface, it looks well behaved with no strange
dips/etc.
Could it be a problem with the predict command?
Is there a "safe" version of predict for higher-dimensional smoothers in
gam?

RSync and large amounts of data
...rks the way it should;
but clearly not for about 220G.
On the main server rsync takes about 300M - (there are 4 CPUs and 4G) so
it's not starved for ram and no users are allowed on the system and it's
strictly a Samba and NFS server - lightly loaded.

a) LLVM could be built just for one target(LLVM_TARGETS_TO_BUILD)
b) With LTO this case might happen more often, where an user would have
compiled LLVM just for one architecture and lld would support other
architectures that LLVM would not
