untransferred files
Hi All Some time rsync just return error code 23 that some files are not transferred. Is there a way to get a list of these files so we can retry it later time? For example, we scan the whole file system and N files are not transferred. Instead of scan the whole file system later again, we can use files-from which is much faster. discrepancy in file count
...7-09 03:03:37] - Total bytes written: 1096302 Note that 75007 files - 68512 files transferred = 6495 left over. Now I'll count the number of directories in that fileset that the logfiles above show getting backed up: % find /scans -type d | wc -l 6495 % And there are my "untransferred files" - they're all the directories in my backup set. Everything synch'ed perfectly, it's just that directories are counted as files *to* transfer but aren't counted as files that have *been* transferred. Is that a bug, or is it desired behavior? It seems unnecessarily...

...rsync -avi --numeric-ids --delete sourcehost:/src_path /local_nfs_mounts/path2/ Files are transferred until the first filename with hash signs is encountered. This file also seems to be transferred still, but the transfer ends at that time, and has to be re-initiated to continue with the remaining untransferred files. I think I have also seen cases where it stops on filenames containing only one hash sign (at front or back I do not remember). I tried reproducing it on another machine with some small set of files, but I could not succeed despite using the same server, and copying to an NFSv3 mount. I also...
