VuXML entry for CVE-2007-1870: ClamAV CAB File Unstore Buffer Overflow
Good day.
Spotted the CVE-2007-1870: the clamav 0.90.2 is already in the ports,
but no sign of the issue in the VuXML. The entry is attached. One
thing that is a bit strange is that the ChangeLog for the ClamAV
(http://svn.clamav.net/svn/clamav-devel/trunk/ChangeLog) says about
CVE-2007-1997 as the libclamav/cab.c log entry, but I think they are

A few questions about numbers and dates
Hi,
I just noticed that Ferret seems to convert every field to a string
[ruby code appended for those interested], which has thwarted my attempt
to format Dates (to "dd/mm/yyyy") and Floats (to "n.nn") for consumption

no echo patch
Hello,
pxelinux does not has any password protection,
unfortunately my Assembler skills are not that
good to extend pxelinux with a global password
option.
Nevertheless this feature is important, because
not every user should have the right to startup
an installation of a machine over network.
The following patch is only a dirty hack, but other

Ferret quick dump&load
Hello Dave, Hello all,
Some weeks ago, Maz submit a patch to quickly dump or load a ferret
database in an other format to prevent index rebuilding (due to changes
in the format) or to simplify backup/replication tasks.
I re-paste this patch (it was against the 0.10.14) here :
http://pastie.caboo.se/43603
Do you think it''s intresting for ferret ?
Do you have any plan for this patch ?

ZFS snapshot splitting & joining
Hello everyone,
I am trying to take ZFS snapshots (ie. zfs send) and burn them to DVD''s for offsite storage. In many cases, the snapshots greatly exceed the 8GB I can stuff onto a single DVD-DL.
In order to make this work, I have used the "split" utility to break the images into smaller, fixed-size chunks that will fit onto a DVD. For example:
#split -b8100m
