gamma distribution
Hi R Users
This is a code I wrote and just want to confirm if the first 1000 values are raw
gamma (z) and the next 1000 values are transformed gamma (k) or not. As I get
2000 rows once I import into excel, the p - values beyond 1000 dont look that
good, they are very high.

By default the file is smb.conf unless you're specifically starting
Samba using a different named file.

Multidimensional Scaling with pairwise Fst
...nsformed my values using the dist command, but the resulting plot
is not right.
My file of Fst values are the estimates of distance that I want to
directly use in the MDS analysis. Looking for help in making my Fst
file read in R as a distance matrix for this to work.

Samba 2.2.5 - Swat Died
I upgraded this morning to 2.2.5 on both my Linux boxes (Red Hat 7.3)
and now SWAT doesn't work. I have it setup to start on a reboot and I've
tried force turning it off and then turning it back on. I can't even
connect on the actual Linux box, let alone the Windows machines that I
used to be able to connect with.
I get that the connection was 'broken' for port 901. What can I

Dear list,
I read in ?plotmath that I can use bgroup to draw scalable delimiters
such as [ ] and ( ). The same technique fails with < > however, and I

grid.text(expression(bgroup("<",atop(x,y),">")))

cluster/nufa not consistent across nodes running 2.0.0rc1
Running cluster/nufa on a 5 node cluster running version 2.0.0rc1 we
noticed that not all files are visible on two of the nodes.
So I switched from rc1 to rc4 and from cluster/nufa to
cluster/distribute (changing two things at once keeps it challenging to
debug :).
After the restart all of the files appear to be available on all nodes
and we avoid the cluster/nufa scheduling problem.

Oddness with dfree command and Samba 2.2.3a
I am attempting to use the 'dfree command' option of smb.conf to handle
a few special cases and the like for returning disk free information.
The Samba server is acting in a PDC role, running Samba 2.2.3a on a
SunBlade 100 running Solaris 8, patched with all Recommended patches.
From a Windows 2000 box (the only thing I have handy to test with, and

Fix for smbpasswd Samba 2.2.4 on Solaris only taking 8 character passwords
Under Samba 2.2.4 (and possibly earlier), smbpasswd (when run locally) only
really reads the first 8 characters, as opposed to the full password.
Obviously, this can cause mass confusion. :)
The fix is pretty simple (I would offer a diff, but this is the kind of
thing the configure script should check for...) - under Solaris getpass()
will only return 8 characters - you must use getpassphrase()

Samba + pdb_mysql - password hashes disappearing?
This is using samba-3.0.2a, as downloaded from us2.samba.org today (19th
of April), on Debian Linux.
I have setup and gotten mostly-working the MySQL PDB for Samba. It
queries the database correctly, pulls in the data, etc.
However, when I connect as a user, I get:

ntlm_password_check: NO NT password stored for user
