I would like the unlicense (http://unlicense.org/) added to R licenses. Does anyone else think that worthwhile? -- Charles Geyer Professor, School of Statistics Resident Fellow, Minnesota Center for Philosophy of Science University of Minnesota charlie at stat.umn.edu

...nest request for information. As for me, I've never heard of this license, but if CRAN doesn't have an option to license software in the public domain, then I would support the inclusion of some such option. FWIW, searching for "public domain software license" on Google turns up unlicense.org as the second result. The Free Software Foundation maintains a list of free and GPL-compatible software licenses here: https://www.gnu.org/licenses/license-list.en.html#Unlicense It appears that Unlicense is considered a free and GPL-compatible license; however, the page does suggest using CC0 instead (which is indeed a license approved / recognized by CRAN). CC0 appears to be the primary license recommended by the FSF for software intended for the public domain. On Tue,...

...bool check_remainder(uint32 x) { return x%d==r; } if we know d and r at compile time, and d is an odd integer, we can use modular multiplicative inverse to bypass the division operation. I wrote the following code to calculate the M.M.I of a number over 2^b. I give anyone the permission to use it (unlicensed). uint64_t find_mod_mul_inverse(uint64_t x, uint64_t bits) { if (bits > 64 || ((x&1)==0)) return 0;// invalid parameters uint64_t mask; if (bits == 64) mask = -1; else { mask = 1; mask&l...

app_swift issues
...onf file, i get the following: ERROR[3495]: app_cepstral.c:197 cepstral_speak: Failed to set voice. I have not touched swift.conf (i'm using the defaults), and, i should add that i have not yet purchased the cepstral voices so that when i run from the command line it sticks "this voice is unlicensed..." or something like that at the beginning of the file, if that makes some kind of difference. I found the problem referenced here: http://www.cepstral.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=56&sid=baa6669e9958920393c62510caa47123&PHPSESSID=df1bcc629c4b8b37617d2d72c8b0232e but no solution... an...

Automatic hosts files update protocol extension for Tinc

It probably _contains_ bugs I still did not found, and I am not a pro in cryptography (albeit having some experience with in past). This work is currently (my own code) is licensed under GPLv2 only. I will happily unlicense it (making it public domain) if it will go into any versions of Tinc, just with mentioning my contribution in THANKS file. If not, it will stay as is. With best wishes! P.S. I found Tinc a great code inside when I developed extension for it. I was able to quickly understand configuration and requ...

ODBCExec and Asterisk 1.6 New Thread
Ok, sorry for the response on the same thread. This is a new one. The main thing is that with this I set the Store Procedure or Query directly on the dialplan line, is easier to configure, change, manage, etc. I also know that works great with heavy load, and it reconnects when the network goes down and up. Can you help me porting this app? I think woun`t be difficult for someone that
